2020-21TRUST TALK

I am feeling immense pleasure in presenting again quarterly newsletter

“Trust Talk”. During this era of social distancing there could be no better way

to connect with each and every person associated with us.

Due to national emergency and consequential lockdown throughout the

country, the Sugar Industry has been affected adversely with demand supply

gap, liquidity constraints and accumulated losses in past. But in our case,

there was no Disruption of Operations of the units/divisions during this

period, in a bid to India's fight against COVID-19. The activities at the

Company’s units have been carried out in normal course with adoption of

enhanced safety, security and other measures as required under the health

advisories. The logistics and supplies were affected for a short period of time

due to supply chain issues across the country, but things have largely

resumed to normal for the Company on that front also.

I would like to appreciate the efforts of employees of Simbhaoli family for

providing their continued support during this critical time of national

emergency. With the consolidated efforts, we have been successful in the

implementation of the “Work from Home” culture at corporate and running

the plants at units' level. This situation seems to be continuing one, hence

let’s feel connected through various events/webinars which we are planning

to organize during upcoming months.

The Company has revitalized the brand building exercise with more

emphasis on the quality control, packaging, and enlarging the distribution

network through the E-commerce websites. It has the strong relationships

with farmers, vendors, state authorities and society in the vicinity of the mills,

and that will further to be improved over a period of time in near future.

We are pleased to announce website "Star Kisan", a new online platform for direct supply of farm fresh

produce to customers of Delhi-NCR at affordable prices. In our effort to encourage the farmers,

cultivating the sugarcane, to grow fresh vegetables, and fruits as part of Intercropping, drip irrigation

and other modern techniques, a new Platform has been launched, where farmers may offer a variety of

fresh grown, hygienically handled, fully traceable, farm-fresh seasonal products at extremely

reasonable prices.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our revamped

corporate website. The new website, including complete e-

commerce capabilities, reflects the Company’s renewed focus on

being a consumer-centric company, focussed on building robust

Contribution to UP Chief Minister Covid Care Fund April, 2020

To bolster the fight against this unprecedented medical emergency in the Country, Simbhaoli Sugars have

contributed a sum of Rs. 30 Lacs towards UP Chief Minister Covid Care Fund. We are grateful to the employees of

the Company who have donated their one-day salary of March 2020 to contribute the same towards this noble

cause and shown such spirit of brotherhood during this difficult time across the nation.

World Environment Day June, 2020

On 5th June, the World Environment Day was

celebrated with Plantation drive of around 5000

trees planted in the factory premises, Schools,

Educational Institutes and in nearby villages.

Employees of all the departments participated

enthusiastically and came together to highlight

the importance and awareness towards

environment Protection.

Shramdaan August, 2020

On August 24, all staff members participated in an hour

long Shramdaan activity with smiling faces and great

enthusiasm. The participants were engaged in cleaning

different locations of all the factory campus area. The

motto of this activity was to create a sense of health &

hygiene among them and make them self-dependent.

Van Mahotsav July, 2020

Van Mahotsav was celebrated to boast the plantation drive in

the first week of July. With the support of the concerned Village

Pradhans/Gram Panchayat/Zila Panchayat and other influential

social organizations. Around 10,000 Trees were planted at the

factory premises as well as nearby villages, government and

non-government institutions, religious places, Educational

Institutions and other selected places within the territory of

Tehsil Hapur/Garhmukteshwar.

Organized webinar for cane growers August, 2020For the benefit of Sugar cane growers and Cane staff, Brijnathpur unit of the Company conducted a webinar to spread awareness about methods of advance sugarcane cultivation, Inter-crop cultivation of sugarcane and methods of control of insecticide and pesticide in sugarcane crop etc on August 7, in association with scientists of U.P. Council of Sugarcane Research, Shahjahanpur.

Mock Drill on Fire Safety June, 2020

Safety of our team is our prime concern. To spread the awareness about precautions to be taken when there is

any fire incident and to provide training to use fire-fighting equipment during such incident, a mock-drill was

conducted at Simbhaoli Distillery unit on June 30, 2020, in the presence of Mr. PS Chauhan (GM Technical). Mr.

Sandeep Sharma (Unit HR Head) coordinated the drill with the with the help of security staff.

International Labour Day May, 2020To recognize the efforts of employees and to celebrate their strength, dedication and achievements, International Labour Day was celebrated on May 01 at Simbhaoli Unit. Your Company is grateful to its workers who are spending their day and night in the growth and development activities.

To mark the birth of Lord Vishwakarma, Pooja was organized in Simbhaoli Campus. The wage board staff

involvement was remarkable in giving colorful look to the event. Mr. Rajesh Kumar(CGM) & Mr. P S

Chauhan(GM-Technical) recited the mantras with the folded hands. All participated in Hawan with great

enthusiasm, shradha and Joy.

To bring positive energy at distillery plant and to get blessings of God for Shubh start of new Boiler, Mr. P S

Chauhan (GM-Technical) and other staff members gathered together to celebrate Boiler Pooja ceremony at

Simbhaoli Distillery on September 18, 2020.

Independence Day August, 2020

On August 15, the national flag was hoisted by Mrs. Gursimran Kaur Mann (Managing Director) to

recognize the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters. Children of all staff members

participated with great enthusiasm. The day turned out to be very joyful.

Mr. Karan Singh, Chief General Manager at Simbhaoli Sugar Complex

Mr. Karan Singh is M. Sc (Agriculture), Plant Pathology, with over 43 years of experience in

cane development, cane marketing and other work at senior positions and as HOD in

leading Private Sugar factories such as Captainganj (Deoria), Durala and Mawana

(Meerut), SBEC Malakpur, Triveni Engineering Unit Ramkola and Akbarpur Chini Mill Unit

of Balrampur Chini Mills, besides working at present as Unit Head at Simbhaoli Sugars. He

has worked as Unit Head with Saraya Sugar Mills, Gorakhpur. He has also worked in UP

State Sugar Corporation and has headed for 3 years the Cane Department of Sugar

Corporation and has taken care and directed the monitoring and supervision of the

working of Cane Department of all the 28 Units of Sugar Corporation.

Bid Adieu to Mr. S.P. Singh (Asst. Commissioner-Excise) September, 2020

Simbhaoli organized a grand farewell party for Mr. S P Singh (Asst. Commissioner -Excise) on September 30,

2020 at LEE Grand Hotel.

Mr. Sandeep Sharma (Unit-HR Head ) gave warm welcome to Mr. Singh with great pomp and show. On behalf of

Simbhaoli family, Mr. PS Chauhan (G.M Technical) expressed gratitude to Mr. Singh for his incredible

contribution and assistance to the Company during his tenure. Mr. SP Singh (Asst. Commissioner) is an

inspiring personality and had always been a beloved person for everyone. We wish him all the best for his

bright future.
