1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Problem Definition

Online Class-Test System is very useful for Educational Institute to pre-

pare an exam,saves the time that will take to check the answers and prepare

the result. It will help the institute to testing of students and develop their

skills.

Login module helps the user to login to the system. For that user must type

username and password correctly. The login provision in this page helps the already

registered user to directly access the system and there is a link for registration to a

user.User module is mainly for the student.This helps the student to register for the

exam and answer the question.Staff module is mainly for the staff.

This project is an attempt to remove the existing flaws in the manual system

of conducting exams. Online Class-Test System is very helpful to users.The

aim of the project is to provide quick ,immediate and easy way to appear the

exam. Student gets the awareness of actual online exam.

2. Scope and Objective

2.1 Scope

The effective use of Online Class-Test System, any Educational Institute or

Training Centers can be use it to develop their strategy for putting the exams and for

getting better results in less time.

This system is for Educational Institutes ( Training and Placement Cell,Entrance

Exam ) etc.

Design to facilitate Staff and Users.

It can be used anywhere in a particular LAN.

Provides security.

2.2 Objective

This Network application provides the facility of conducting Online Exam.

Staff has a privilege to create, modify and delete the test Questions.

User can register,login and give the test with a specific ID and Password and also

can see results.

3. System Requirement Specification

3.1 Functional System Requirement

This section gives a functional requirement that applicable to the On-Line Exam

system. There are Two sub modules in this phase.

Student module.

Staff module.

The functionality of each module is as follows:

Student Module:

The student will logon to the software and take his examination. He can

also check his previous examinations marks and his details. The student will get

result immediately after the completion of the examination.

Staff Module:

The database is prepared & loaded into the software. Selection for

examination can be done subject wise by the staff. The results will be displayed

immediately after completion of the examination. The staff collects all the results

after successful completion of the examination.

4.1 Hardware Requirements

Processor – Pentium processor or higher

RAM – Minimum 512MB

HDD- Minimum of 2GB

4.2 Software Requirements

Windows XP onwards

Xampp version 1.0.0.0 server

4.3 Technologies:

Front end- PHP,Yii Framework

Back end- MySQL version compatible for Xampp Server.
