COLOR-CODED KEYBOARDTheon-screenKontaktkeyboardnowshowsadditionalinforma-tion.Theplayableinstrumentrangeisshowninblue,theavailablekeyswitchesinred,theselectedkeyswitchingreenand,ifavail-able,theroundrobinresetkeyinyellow.
RELEVANT CONTROLSTheSYMPHOBIA2interfacenowshowsyouonlythecontrolsthatarerelevantfortheselectedkeyswitch.Forexample,theADSRcontrolssustainandreleasearehiddenforshortarticulations,andreleasetraillengthandreleasetrailvolumearehiddenforkeyswitchesthathavenoreleasetrails.
NEW CONTROLSForkeyswitchesthathavereleasetrails,itisnowpossibletocontrolthereleasetrailvolume(RTVol,inrelativedecibels)andreleasetraillength(RTLen,inabsoluteseconds).Thisisusefultotweaktheamountofconcerthallreverberationyouwishtohearuponreleasinganote.Thesenewcontrolsareavailableforboththestandardinstrumentsandthelegatoensembles.
ROUND ROBIN RESET KEYTheyellowcoloredpianokeyontheon-screenKontaktkeyboard(mappedtoA6inmostcases)isusedtoreset/bypasstheroundrobincycle.Imagineplayingtripletsusinga4-noteroundrobincycle.Normally,thecyclewouldloopafterevery4notes.How-ever,becauseyouareplayingtripletsitmaysoundbettertohavethecycleloopafterevery3notes.Toresettheroundrobincyclebacktoposition1,presstheyellowresetkey.Thisaffectsthenextnoteyouplay.Youcanalsoholddowntheyellowresetkey.Roundrobinisthentemporarilyturnedoffforallnotesyouplay,untilyoureleasetheresetkeyagain.
Forgeneralinformationaboutroundrobin,pleaseseethemainreferencemanual.
DXF FILTER BUTTONAnewbuttonhasbeenaddedtotheLegatoEnsembles,calledDXFFilter.Byenablingthisbutton,thelowestdynamiclayeroftheinstrumentwillhavelow-passfilteringappliedifthemodula-tionwheelisallthewaydown.Thiswillgivethesamplesasoftertoneinthelowestdynamicrange.Ifyouprefertoheartheorigi-nal,unfilteredsamplesifthemodulationwheelisdown,disabletheDXFFilterbutton.

CHANGES TO THE DSPInsteadofofferingpresets,thedrop-downlistintheDSPtabnowshowsyouindividualDSPeffects.Thesecanbeswitchedon/offandcontrolledindependently.Selectaneffectfromthedrop-downlistandusethecontrolstotweakit.Tobypasstheeffectagain,turntheeffectsmaincontroltoitslowestvalue.Forexample,toturnoffthedelayeffect,turnitswetlevelallthewaydown.
MULTIS KEYBOARD COLORINGMultisconsistofvarious,stackedInstruments,oftenspreadanddividedoverafull88-notekeyboard.WhenusingMultis,theon-screenKontaktkeyboardnowshowsyouwhereeachoftheinstrumentsstartandstop.ItmakesdiscoveringanewMultialoteasier,allowingyoutoseetherangesofthevariouselements.
