·The last time it rung was for George Washington’s birthday.

·The crack is so big that the bell can’t ring anymore.

The Statue of Liberty

·It is in New York Harbor.

·The torch lights the way for freedom.

·The crown has 7 points which stand for the light of freedom shining on 7 continents.

·The date of the Declaration of Independence is written on the tablet she is holding.

The Bald Eagle·The bald eagle was chosen as the national bird of the United States.·It is not really bald. It has white feathers on its head and tail.

Uncle Sam·Uncle Sam stands for the government and spirit of the United States.·Uncle Sam is dressed in red, white, and blue (the colors of the U.S. flag).

The Lincoln Memorial·The Lincoln Memorial honors Abraham Lincoln.·He was the 16th president of the United States.·Abraham Lincoln is also on the penny.

The White House·This is where the president of the United States lives.·Barack Obama lives here now.·George Washington was the only president who did not live here.

Mount Rushmore·It is a mountain that has the faces of 4 presidents carved into it.·The faces are: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.·It stands for the country’s birth, growth, and ideals.
