Basel, a city canton with nearly 200,000 people and 2000 years of history, is located at the elbow of the Rhine on the borders of France and Germany. It is the centre of the pharmaceutical industry and the site of major trade fairs - the oldest of which, the Autumn Fair, has been held annually since 1471

Bern is the capital of Switzerland, a European medieval city founded in 1191, on the River Aare. Bern has quite a few attractions and historic sites, as well as an active cultural life. It is here that Albert Einstein worked, the Toblerone chocolate bar is made, and Emmental cheese, known as Swiss Cheese, reached out to the world

Geneva is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, situated between the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) and Mount Salève. Home to the world's tallest fountain, the Jet d'Eau, cathedrals, art galleries and the headquarters of many international organizations, the city is definitely worth a visit.

Lucerne is ideally situated in the historic and scenic heart of what many believe to be the 'true' Switzerland - picture mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and meadows full of edelweiss. The charming town straddles the Reuss River on the western edge of Lake Lucerne and makes an excellent base for excursions

Ticino

The Italian-speaking canton of TICINO (Tessin in German and French) occupies the balmy, lake-laced southern foothills of the Alps. It’s radically different from the rest of the country in almost every way: culture, food, architecture, attitude and driving style owe more to Milan than Zürich and the famously sunny skies even draw in fog-bound Milanese for a breath of air.

The VALAIS (Wallis in German; Vallese in Italian) is Switzerland’s third-largest canton, a diverse swathe of country occupying the valley – hence the name – of the River Rhône, from its source in the glaciers of the central Alps all the way to its inflow to Lake Geneva. Fully twenty percent of the canton is covered by glaciers, and yet the region has the driest climate, with the lowest rainfall and the most sunshine, of the whole country.

Graubuenden

Switzerland’s largest canton, GRAUBÜNDEN, occupies the entire southeast of the country and takes in a huge but sparsely populated area that’s the most culturally diverse in Switzerland, bordering on Liechtenstein and Austria to the north, and Italy to the east and south.
