Hospital rooms can be an unpleasant experience for a young child. Being in an uncomfortable environment, rather than the comfort of their own room, makes it difficult for them to easily adapt. Designing pillowcases with inspirational messages and pictures will bring smiles to children's faces and encouragement to overcome the challenges ahead.
To provide additional comfort, attendees create dreamcatchers to protect the child from nightmares caused during these unpleasant times. The dreamcatcher symbolizes hope and healing, helping the child wake up refreshed after a pleasant and peaceful sleep.
The goal of this program is to design pillowcases and create dreamcatchers providing comfort and protection to children while brightening their hospital rooms. Attendees also must design their gift box with a special message of hope and comfort for the child.
The end result is a meaningful donation of heartwarming gifts for children who can use a reminder of the warmth of home!
