FORMERLY: Lackawanna County Stadium

(1989-2006)

PNC Field was originally known as Lackawanna County Stadium when it opened on April 26, 1989. The artificial turf stadium was used as a multipurpose facility. Under the Phillies umbrella, the SWB Red Barons called Lackawanna County Stadium home from 1989-2006.

A new affiliation with the New York Yankees took hold and the SWB Yankees opened a new era at the stadium in 2007.

The club began a new era as the RailRiders by opening a freshly renovated PNC Field in 2013. The inaugural season of the RailRiders saw over 430,000 spectators pass through the gates, the highest turnout since 2008.
