Hello!I’m Swan Lefevre, a creative girl with a huge imagination, an odd girl with a lot of crazy ideas!

It’s more of ten years that I started my adventure in the visual communication world, also flowed into the product design field.The connection between the image, the objects and the daily world it’s a characteristic that never ends to fascinating me.

Media and new technologies are transforming and growing day by day and they offer a lots of possibilities to the communication field, for this reason I try to be always updated but without loosing the manual ability from where a lot of good ideas bring to life.

Drafts, diagrams, drawings, lists of things, books, pencils, pens, markers, rulers, scanner, my magic tablet are the leading actors of the little world around me, they are always on my desk with an hot cup of tea.

A wonderful thing of the designer profession it’s group work, because with different people I can have a more vast view about the project and the

nonstop inspirations drive the creativity to the best ideas and good projects.

One of my biggest fascination is discover new places, go into other cultures and speak different languages, I’m a very curios person that want to always learn new things.

I keep an open mind and in the past untill now I’m often working in groups with several international students, I think that this is a good opportunity to discover others points of view from different countries and it’s the better way to learn very much of other places and other design methodologies. For this reason in the 2009 I spent one semester abroad, I’ve been in Japan, in Tokyo, at the Musashino Art University at the Design Informatics department. In this occasion I met very wonderful professors and I learned so much from this different culture and country.

I hope in my future to have the opportunity to work abroad in great creative teams, learn as much as possible and meet interesting people from everywhere.

Those books bring to life through a workshopheld by Distretto Culturale della Valle Camonica

at Capo di Ponte, in the mountain district of Brescia, Italy.

This creative meeting was organised to raisethe identity of the UNESCO prehistorical

engrave parks.

A week discovering the parks beside archaeologists, educational experts, people with disabilities, architects and creatives.

Be in contact with the enviroment to better understand how express the subject

into the project.

The brief of my group work was to create and design a book for children on the theme

of those parks: the engraves. The issue should be not only for children,

but it’d satisfy the design4all rules.

We worked a lot with differents materials and paper types, we designed those books

by hand, crafting without limits to creativity.

I realised those books with the graphic designer Claude Marzotto.

At the end we realised three kid books prototypes.

The good result of prototypes involved the italian publisher Corraini, the editor

of all Bruno Munari’s books. So, they decided to realize also ours!

For the pubblishing project we had redesigned again the books to respect the budget costs. We had to resize the project, minimize the

printing process and the different paper types.

Despite those producing rules, our creativity didn’t suffered, indeed we used limits

to increase it and to implie a new challenge.

The books are always on the engraves, but with three different topics:

1. The archeologist, 2. The figures, 3. The rocks.

The concept of those books is that kids must play with them.

“Quaderni della Valle Camonica” are made with some differents paper type, the graphic

is based on the primary colours and the visual part is the base of the books,

so they arrive to comunicate without words.

Ethnicity is a turist guide that propose a new way to explore the city from a different point of view. People in the cities are from different countries

and with their cultures trasform cities.Ethnicity is the opportunity to discover the

world just remaining in a city.

Ethnicity has a format, is supported by different devices: an app mobile, a facebook application,

a website and a paper freepress.

The mobile app guide the turist into the multicultural neighborhoods.

The augmented reality help to immerge the tourist in this discovering adventure with

some curiosities and advices.

In each different multiethnical place there is a selected point where is located a freepress.

Each issue have a piece of a novel based on the multicultural side of the neighborhood.

The website and the facebook application update the status of the discovering adventure.

Each user can share the amount of how many parts of multiethnical cities had already visited.

The concept is developped on Milano’s territory, but the format can be adapted to all the cities

that have a strong immigration history.

The project is based on the Bible story of “Babel tower”, where people from different places lived

together and spoke different languages.

Ethnicity belive in the multicultural places and in the respect of the differences among people.

It want to show the great opportunities there are in those multiethnical cities and want to explore

them with a new positive and respectfull attitude.

Flamina is a project created during my exchange program in Japan, at Musashino Art University

in Tokyo.

Japan is a country with a strong rainy season. My work group and I analyzed the local and

foreign markets and discovered a lack: the absence of fashionable products for the rainy days.

Nothing new has been designed for those who pass through the city every day under the rain and still

want to “be fashion” without getting wet.

Thus is born the Flamina project, a clothing and accessories fashion brand for women who want

to be elegant even when it is raining.

Flamina offers skirts and capes made in nylon, a waterproof material, enriched with some

textures based on the water theme.

The project involved the entire brand study, from the concept to the logo and corporate

image drawing, via the marketing analysis, the clothes and retail shops design and

even the prototypes realization.

La Traccia is farmhouse in the nature, with fields and animals, where they produce

homemade high quality food and they offer a quite and relaxing place where spend some nice time.

La Traccia is a place very much linked to the territory, to the countryside world and to

the respect of the fruits the Earth can offer.

The project of designing the corporate identity of La Traccia (trad. The Trace) is based on

the meaning of the farm’s name. For those reasons, I decided to go back to a manual

sign, a hand drawn, fluid shape of T as a path, like a rake trace into the soil.

All of the others drawings used for communication in the farm are made out of the same concept, as for example the restroom sign that reuses the T shape to indicate ladies and gentlemen.

The label for the products made by the farmhouse La Traccia want to be as simple

as possible, to leave the product express by itself.

The adhesive strip has a triple function: in the front part there are all the essential informations,

the continuity of the label is used like a seal and in the back there are al the

production information, logos...

The final effect is simple and elegant, the brown color of the label is coordinated to the original

color of the logo, the paper type is smooth and yellowish to evoke the natural feature

of the products.
