System OverviewVicon’s Surveyor MKII analog dome camera is a compact, lightweight and intelligent security device comprised of a camera and pan/tilt/zoom drive. The domes are compatible with most leading controllers on the market and can be controlled directly by a Vicon keypad and controllers in simplex mode and Vicon Valerus and ViconNet VMS via a compatible encoder (simplex mode).

The analog domes provide an optical zoom of 36X with a digital zoom of 12X. Electronic Image Stabilization compensates for vibration or movement of the camera, automatically minimizing blur. Defog and image overlay are also supported.

The dome can be programmed directly through an intuitive menu system. Programmable privacy masks are used to conceal user-defined areas. Limits to the pan and tilt of the unit can also prevent operators from viewing restricted areas. Titles can be programmed in the unit to provide the operator with additional graphical information when controlling the camera (example: time/date titles).

Construction and InstallationVicon has a variety of hardware available to install the Surveyor MKII in almost any environment. A pendant configuration is available, with an outdoor or pressurized housing. The pressurized version of the lower dome is constructed of impact-resistant, polycarbonate.

The outdoor units are IP66 rated; the pressurized version of the camera provides IP67 protection. These units have built-in heater/blower units that ensure operation in a temperature range of -40° to 140° F (-40° to 60° C).
