Final year UG Mechanical students carried out 23 in house and 27 industrial projects.

CAD/CAM center was inaugurated on 29/01/2014 and it is effectively conducting 200 Hours software training program spread over three semesters on “Computer Aided Drafting, Modeling and Analysis (CADMA)” to enhance the skill levels of students in the design field and also helps them to meet the industrial requirements and their academic projects.

Along with CTRI – Weston Thomson, department is conducting Six-Sigma green belt certification program for students in order to improve the knowledge and better equip themselves for the industry (already two batches are completed successfully).

The project titled "Electronic Ballot Box", executed by Mr.Meiyappan, Mr.Niranjan Balaji and Mr.Mahadev Subramanian from the 2008-12 batch of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has been selected as a best project under the Innovative Student Projects Award-2012 given by Indian National Academy Of Engineering and awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000/-

Achievements Anna University with effect from May 2009The project titled "Electronic Ballot Box", executed by Mr.Meiyappan, Mr.Niranjan Balaji and Mr.Mahadev Subramanian from the 2008-12 batch of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has been selected as a best project under the Innovative Student Projects Award-2012 given by INDIAN National Academy Of Engineering and awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000/-
