Origin - Its origin is Coimbatore,Tamil Nadu, and it is a brain child of All India Cotton developmentproject done in year 1970, by hybridization of two superior quality cottons SUjatha and Sea Island VINcent.

Growing Area & Production - This specialised product growing area is limited and the production is 2,500 to 3,000 bales/year. It is mainly grown in the state of Tamil Nadu, in the Southern part of India.
