Login and Password

• This is a requirement of the School Self Evaluation for the National Partnership
• You will be required to enter the Login and Password supplied to your school
• Do not change the Login or Password
Choosing surveysLITERACY or NUMERACY

• Go to the My Survey section at the top of the page
• Once you have clicked on this, the surveys available to your school will be displayed

• There are 6 surveys for Government schools• Select the survey – eg Student NUMERACY• Hit the Collect icon

• On the next screen, click the Add new collection

• The next action is to determine how the information to collect the survey will be sent– Send out hyperlink in email– Place hyperlink on school webpage
• Type in the name for the link and click next step

Inviting others to the survey

• You will need to copy the hyperlink (email or webpage)
• You will need to check the settings to make sure that more than one person can answer the survey

When the survey link comes up, go into the settings
Ensure that, “Yes” is selected on the multiple responses
Save the settings once you have selected “yes”
Once settings have been saved select the “Back to Summary Tab”
You are returned to this screen where you can copy the hyperlink to send out in an email.
• Paste the hyperlink into an email, for example• Use a group list to send to all staff (executive and
teachers) or all students in a Year, for example• Include the school code in the message
How to send the email out to a student group using your portal webmail
Open your webmail account on your portal page and select new message and
A new message window appears. Select the To… button which will open
up the address book
Select the student address book. School teachers will have the students
in the school listed
To select a group of students for the email, hit the “Shift” button on the computer to select the first student and then hit the “Shift” button to
end the selection. The names to be selected will be highlighted.
Select the To button on the bottom of the page and the students selected will appear as names
in the To box.
When you return back to the message you will now see the names in the “To…” box
Paste the hyperlink generated by survey monkey. Hit the “Send” button to send the email out.
Add the subject to the email and paste the hyperlink generated by survey monkey. Type in
any other comments, including the School Code.

The email has been sent here to the sender as an example for you to see.
An email sent to a student might look like this
Once the email is received by staff or students, they should click on the hyperlink

Answering the survey

• The hyperlink will take staff / students to the survey, where they can answer the questions
• The school code must be entered

• All questions must be answered - if any questions are blank This question requires an answer will appear

Looking at the survey results

• To analyse the results of the survey, select analyse results tab on top right

• The Student NUMERACY survey was updated1 minute ago and there are now 3 responses
• Click on the Analyse iconEducational Measurement and School

• You can now see the responses in tables

• You can – create a chart– export to an Excel spreadsheet

• You can choose different chart types, labels, etc

Reporting the results

• These graphs, charts, tables can be included in the School Self-Evaluation report
• Information collected in these online surveys will be provided to the Commonwealth as part of a report on the National Partnership
• Individual schools will NOT be identified
