Daly Smith are fully conversant in the requirements
of the ‘Standard for the Australian Survey Control
Network Special Publication 1 (SP1). This standard
underpins the framework to be applied to control
surveys. Daly Smith possesses software to complete
least squares adjustments of surveys (when required)
and its surveyors are familiar with its use.
In the office, Daly Smith has the latest back to base
technology with our field surveyors being supported
via mobile technologies such as laptops and mobile
phones (4G-Telstra-Internet). This ensures that any
disruptions can be minimised with solutions to any
difficulties that arise being worked out without the
need for field surveyors to return to base. All of our
equipment such as data loggers are also Bluetooth
and wi-fi compatible to again make sure that our
surveyors are ‘connected’ at all times.
Daly Smith uses the latest Trimble Standard and
Robotic Total Stations. They include the latest TSC-3
data recorders loaded with the latest firmware. All
equipment is serviced and calibrated in accordance
with the manufacturer’s specifications as well as the
Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2012
and National Measurement Act 1960.

HUNTLEE – LWP Property
Since mid-2014 Daly Smith have been contracted
as project surveyors for the Huntlee New Town
development. We provide a range of services
including but not limited to topographical detail
surveys, easement creation/removal, sales plans,
subdivision plans (including electronic lodgement
of land xml) and broad advice with respect to
land titling/status, 88B preparation, project VPA
& MOD plans.
VARIOUS SURVEYS – Lake Coal
Daly Smith have provided multiple different
surveys for Lake Coal including Volumetric
Surveys of coal and Monitoring Surveys of
seagrass.
SCAPE APARTMENTS – Ware Building
We have provided Boundary Identification and Re-
peg Surveys, Property Topographic Detail Surveys,
Construction and Infrastructure Set Out Surveys for
this set of luxury apartments at a beachside
location. The apartment block consists of 9
apartments on 5 levels as well as 2 basement levels.
BATHYMETRIC SURVEYS
Daly Smith are engaged to provide bathymetric
survey of water body beds for infrastructure design.
These surveys are typically conducted in enclosed
waters using current technology to ensure accuracy
in our deliverables.
