Welcome to the 2019 Art and Design Degree Show; the annual series of events and exhibitions built around the creative work of over 250 students graduating from BA (Hons) Art and Design and

Media courses.

We are proud of our graduates’ ambition, excellence and creativity, and we look forward to watching and helping them succeed as

creative professionals. The diversity of their creative approaches to art and design work is impressive.

Throughout their t ime at Staffordshire University, students are equipped for the future by leading academic staff and supported by

the University’s excellent studios and modern workshop faci l it ies.

The Degree Show is testament to Staffordshire University’s emphasis on combining academic progress with professional project opportunit ies and networks. Staffordshire University

DEGREE SHOW

The Surface Pattern Design and Texti le Surfaces degrees at Staffordshire University are established awards, recognised for their success in developing employable and professional graduates, passionate about designing innovative surfaces across al l conceivable surfaces.

Ranked No. 2 in the Guardian League Tables (2019) for Fashion and Texti les, our teaching programme includes hands-on practical workshops and demonstrations, as well as digital technologies in a dedicated studio where self-assessment, crit ical analysis and reflective

practice are encouraged.

We have strong industry l inks that provide excit ing opportunit ies for work placements, ‘ l ive’ industry projects, competit ions and freelance work which often lead to offers of sponsorship,

purchasing of collections, study visits and employment.
