I Seek Refuge

Comes from ش ط نIn Arabic it means the far thing.

Why is he called Shaytan?

Because he became far away from Allah’s mercy.

Root word is رج مIn Arabic it means to hit with stones.

So رجيم means one that is hit by stone. One stone hit and repelled, rejected far away. In this case far away from Allah’s blessings.

It means to be expelled from all types of righteousness.

The root is م ا س which means name.So هللا بســــــــــــــــــم means with the name of AllahThe root is ح رم which

means the mothers womb. This way the mother has a special love and affection for the child.So حمن means the Most رBeneficent or Merciful. It has exaggeration.It signifies ones whose mercy is common to all and extends to the whole universe

Also comes from the root words ح رم The difference, however, is that حيم means اارrepeatedly Merciful or continuously Merciful.It signifies ones whose mercy is perfect in all possible ways. This is more in specific with the believers.

The root is ح م د . This word in Arabic is not only used for praise but also for being grateful.The ال in this word changes it from a common noun to a proper noun.

The root is ب which ,ربmeans one who nurtures. This nurturing is done step by step slowly. It is significant because it means to make something attain one condition after another until perfection is reached. basically nourishes ربus to the state of perfection.It means Nurturer and carer.

The root is ع م لIt means a sign or a mark. In Arabic it means a flag. It signifies identification. So means all the (world) عالمthings that Allah has recognized. (Plural: Worlds) عالمينincludes all forms of existence, sky, sun, earth, moon, wind, jinn, and people. It means the worlds.

These two words are being repeated and have been

explained previously.

The root is م ل ك In Arabic it means king. And Mallik mean the Owner. Kings own many things.So مـ ل ك means to posses something in such a manner that one has the right and power to dispose of it as one likes.

يوم means day.

means الدينrecompense.

الدين يوم therefore means day of recompense. It represents the day of Qiyamah.

Only youWe worship. The root is ع ب د which means slave.

And only youWe seek help.The root is و نع

Guide us The root is ه د ي . This means guidance. It includes three things:•To show the path•To make one walk on a path•Making one reach the destination.

Upon them. There are two word here. which means on علي•.which means them هم•

The root is ض ب which meansغwrath/anger.Those who earned anger.

It is a plural form of the word ضآل. It means those who have gone astray.The root is ل ض ل Which means to loose. Therefore making it those who lost their path.
