CHALLENGES• Language barrier while interviewing tourists
• Staying focused on the needs of the user as apposed to the wants of
the design team
KEY TAKEAWAYS• Making a project plan & keeping it up to date reduces stress during the
project
• Interviewing tourist in context is awesome & yielded valuable
information that formed the basis of the project
• Should have spent more time on user flows before the design process
began
NEXT STEPS • Create an on-boarding experience to enhance the Create an Itinerary
feature
• A/B Testing & Card Sorting of copy and headings with in the Itinerary
feature
• Build a feature to show the users progress while creating the itinerary

Lessons Learned
User Management System RedesignTHE BRIEF• The User Management System is no longer adequate: in general the whole experience is not up to Chartbeat standards - it needs to be delightfully easy and fun
THE PROBLEM• Chartbeat needs a holistic User Management System that will support users for all of their products
THE OPPORTUNITY • If the user management system were easier to use with a larger user base, clients would be happier and Chartcorps would have more time to address other issues

What I Did
CHALLENGES• Steep learning curve during introduction to their various products
• Figuring out a way to design for group additive permissions
