PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKFORCE CONNECTIONS CLASSROOM CONNECTIONS
Women’s Round Table: Creates a community of learning and growing for women meets third Friday morning of each month.
Atypical Tea: Four part learning series that tackles a theme that will benefit and grow women in their various roles of leadership.
Mentorship: Creating a program to serve women in need of mentors, mentees, and peer-to-peer relationships.
WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT (WILD)Round Tables: Connection of diverse business owners with resources for growing businesses.

Supplier Diversity Initiative: Provide business opportunities, certification assistance and education to small and diverse area suppliers who seek access to the Southeastern Minnesota economy and business community.

THE HUB
External Program: Develop and Deliver a training and toolkit for companies who want to host an internship/externship Collaborating with RCTC/WSU-R/UMR/Mayo.
Internal Program: Creating meaningful intern experiences as a model for the internship/externship program (3 per year: Fall, Spring, Summer).
INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Create a scholarship program that represents and reflects the mission of the Foundation: To support and advance the charitable interests of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce through education and workforce development initiatives.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Chamber engagement/input for collaborative efforts like Rochester Works, Girl Scouts of America, DMC learning environments, Maxability, etc.
Connecting Businesses to Resources to support and grow businesses.

A cohort of business leaders come together for the 27th year of the Chamber’s leadership program. 38 leaders will tackle:
• Personal Leadership• Professional Leadership• Community Impact Project• Rochester Region History and Impact
LEADERSHIP GREATER ROCHESTER (LGR)
3 day workshop pairing Educators and business professionals to learn about each other’s professional needs.
FULL CIRCLE CLASSROOM
The Impact: According to participants surveyed, based on their experience at STEM Summit:
• 80% of students plan to further explore a STEM career
• 35% plan to take more STEM classes• 20% plan to take harder STEM classes• 45% plan to work harder in their STEM classes
STEM SUMMIT
380 7th graders from John Adams will be in teams of 10 to experience a four hour project on-site with an area business or organization to explore career choices. Secured bussing through RPS for career day 8/25/2015.
CAREER CHOICE DAY
Working on a roundtable of construction companies to assist with a revamp of RCTC construction curriculum so students can earn a higher apprenticeship upon graduating the program.
RCTC CONSTRUCTION CURRICULUM
Working with St. Mary’s, RPS and REA to discuss how to offer a certification in cross-sector Professional Development to better support Educators with knowledge of workforce needs. Looking at an internship component to wrap into this certification. Need REA to see how we can talk differently about pay scale and how Districts can honor professional development past lanes and steps
