1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(a) (i) New robust long life reliable type dual cab pick-up or equivalent in current production complete with all standard and optional features and accessories, fittings and tools normally supplied with the vehicle irrespective whether or not specifically mentioned hereafter.

(ii) Specification sheet of pick-up must be submitted with tender.

(b) The vehicle to consist of a very strong and rigid metal chassis and an all metal body.

(c ) To be suitable for frequent use in off-the-road operations in very rough undulating country.

(c) An independent parking brake (hand brake) capable of holding the vehicle on an incline of 1 in 4 to be fitted.

10. PAINTING AND FINISH

(b) The complete vehicle shall be finished painted with standard manufactured metallic white colour

(c) The underside surfaces of body to be given a coat of anti- corrosive paint

11. AIR CONDITIONING

(a) Installation to be with rear ceiling console plus front mounted integrated type.

(b) Cooling capacity to be at least 6,8000 kcal/hr at 3,200 rpm with blower capacity of at least 900 m3/hr.

(c) Compressor to be of axial with a displacement of at least 160 cc.

(d) At least 3-speed blower motor to be provided.

(a)

INSPECTION New Equipment Tenderers are to arrange for the Officer-In-Charge or his representatives (not less than two (2) officers) to inspect and test the new equipment offered and to witness the production at the manufacturer premises or at the premises of users of such equipment as demand fit by the government.

(b)

On claims to local assembled/ manufacture, the tenderer is responsible for making provisions to enable the Officer-In-Charge or at least two (2) of his representatives during manufacture, inspect the manufacturer’s premises, the materials and workmanship on the equipment. Such inspection shall not release the successful tenderer from any obligation under this tender.

(c)

The tenderer shall notify the Officer-In-Charge thirty (30) days in advance of the date on which the equipment is ready for inspection.
