The M-48 MOD 1 is the next generation of the popular original M-48 mask. It now features Kirby Morgan’s most up to date

Balanced Scuba Regulator and the unique two-cavity design. This allows the lower pod to be removed while topside to con-serve air, and allows normal speech while diving. The MOD 1 may also be used with a variety of different communication systems. The lower pod is removable under water to allow making gas switches, and to share gas in the event of an emergency. The evolution of the MOD 1 has given way to a dramatic increase in visibility, an improved buckle system, five leg straps, a mechani-cal equalizing device, and a variety of options for mounting external components, (lights, cameras etc.).

Kirby Morgan’s Air Control System 5 (KMACS 5) is designed for surface-supplied air diving down to a maximum of 130

FSW. It will support two divers and has a built-in hardwire communications system.

The Balanced SCUBA Regulator Assembly is Kirby Morgan’s high performance breathing equipment designed for the

professional SCUBA diver. The balanced second stage is a modified version of the demand regulator featured on the KM 97 Helmet, the 455. The second stage shares many parts in common with those on the 455 (KM 97)balanced regulator, a major plus for those stocking parts for Kirby Morgan equip-ment. The first stage is our SuperFlow, HiVent First Stage, de-veloped from technology used in our Kirby Morgan Air Control Systems (KMACS-5). It is a low maintenance, high flow regu-lator, with four standard low pressure outlets. The SuperFlow First Stage also features one “straight through” high flow port designed to be used with an optional big bore low pressure hose.
