The Family TreeFrom The DC Wikia The House of El: The earliest known members of the El family line existed during Krypton's pre-industrial age when Kryptonians were known by only a single name. The first recorded member of the family line was Feln, who was the father of Ru God, who was the father of Tam Nu. Tam Nu's son, Erok became the first Kryptonian to create clan names and called himself Erok-El, or, Erok of the Star. His wife was Milia, the daughter of an opposing Bethgar named Uved. Erok-El and Milia gave birth to Kal-El the First, who became the second Bethgar of the continent of Urrika. Kal-El's son, Wab-El did not share his ancestor's noble qualities and became a vicious warlord. Wab-El had two sons, Vad-El and Hyr-El. Vad-El became a tyrant like his father, and Hyr-El disowned the family name after a feud with Vad-El. Hyr-El's direct family lineage is what eventually evolved into the modern House of El.

"The Race to Overtake the PastSuperman and Supergirl learn the histories of Kil-Gor and Bur-El, inventors; Jaf-El, a prophet of Rao, and Tio-El, his brother, who were spared with several others from a flood which devastated ancient Krypton.

MGK: No Mention of any other siblings, or parentage. But the passage indicates a flood that the two brothers survived along with several others, could it be possible that the rest of the family survived the flood too?

From All Star Superman Bar-El was the first space astronaut from Krypton who got lost in space and drifted with his wife, Lilo-El, for decades. MGK: Shu El has no mention of any parentage, and there is no record connecting Plen El to Bur El, But according to Plen Els history, he continued the bloodline of which Wedna married into with Bur El, having two kids Val El & Tro El. He was recognized for his contributions to the fields of mathematics and computer theory. Shu-El and his wife gave birth to two children, Thar-El and Fedra Shu-El. His direct family line would one day lead to the birth of Krypton's last male heir, Kal-El. Tio, Jaf, Shu, Sul, Nox, Bar, & Kem have no mention on any database of siblings or parents. So is it possible to safely assume that Hyr El is their father? The Gap

Var-El discovered a means for crossing long interstellar distances and journeyed to a planet in the Sol system called Earth. His discovery later inspired his great nephew, Jor-El to send his child to Earth shortly before Krypton exploded.Superman Wikia: Ter-El is the father of Seyg-El.MGK: There is no information confirming the relationship between Var El and Ter El, but it would have to make sense. Var Els work inspired Jor El to send a baby Kal El to earth. The DC Comic Wikia House of El, credits Var as Jor Els grandfather, but the Superman Wikia credits Ter El as the father of Seyg El [who in turn is Jor Els father.]

For the purpose of this, I think it makes sense if Var and Ter are brothers.
