The difference between the SuperGreen Infrared Tankless design and the technology that’s been in existence for several

decades is how the water is heated. NoTec came up with a way to use infrared energy to heat water quickly, only as it is

needed, controlling the temperature to an exact degree.

The whole system, incorporating nanotechnology and powered with

electricity, is contained inside a 14-by-20-inch box mounted to the wall.

Inside, water zigzags through four quartz heating elements, clear tubes with

a patented Nano carbon coating on the outside that conducts the infrared energy.

When you put power to the unit, it heats up from zero to 275 degrees in

about two seconds!

Typical electric water heaters utilize metal heating

elements that will heat a tank full of water from the inside.

Electricity is used during the day and night to maintain the

temperature of the water whether you're using it or not. In

most electric tankless designs, water flows past similar metal heating coils to produce the on-demand hot water,

rather than keeping it stored. But the concept is the same.

The problem is that water is still in contact with the heat source and will eventually corrode the heating elements,

which will need to be maintained and eventually replaced.

NoTec’s patented technology is totally new. The system allows the water and the carbon component heating it to

remain separate. Water just flows inside. The heat source doesn’t touch it and it doesn’t corrode. The advantage is a

system that lasts longer and will maintain itself for up to 20 years, and since you don’t have to replace the heating

elements, it is virtually maintenance free!

The other half of the SuperGreen Infrared Tankless story is the computer

that controls the heating system. Through its fully automatic intelligent PID

temperature controller, the unit modulates the amount of electricity

required to maintain the water temperature. This ensures that the unit

uses the minimum amount of electricity needed for optimum efficiency

and lowest cost.

Along with monitoring the temperature of the water like a vehicle cruise

control, it will virtually shut off the system when water isn’t being used. It

simply goes on standby mode and never heats again until you use hot

water again. That’s how you save energy.

When trying to save on their electric bills, most consumers don’t think much about reducing the energy they consume

through heating water. The hot water turns on and off and nobody sees it. NoTec can actually test the efficiency of their

product with a third-party meter that measures energy usage, comparing the new system to the customer’s prior water

heating setup. The findings are consistent and can prove the claim of savings in water-heating costs.

The system also has “built-in redundancy”. Each tube in the quartz heating element is independent of the others,

meaning that customers will still get hot water even if one or two of the units fail. The entire system is modular, making

replacing faulty parts easy.
