TheHPR-SeriesHighPressureReactorshavebeendevelopedfordemandingresearchandprocessoptimizationapplications.Designedandconstructedtoindividualspecifications,eachreactormaybecustomtailoredtoitsintendeduse.Ahighdegreeofversatilityisachievedthroughthemanyoptionsandaccessoriesthatareavailableforthesereactors.Inadditiontothewiderangeoflaboratoryreactorsdescribedhere,SupercriticalFluidTechnologieshasextensiveexperiencewithlarger,highlyspecializedsystems.
Thebench-topHPR-Seriesreactors’rangeinsizefrom50mlto4litersandmaybeoperatedupto10,000psiand350°C.VariousclosuremechanismsincludingHandTight,BoltedClosure,andModifiedBridgemanClosureareavailablebasedonthepressureandtemperatureconditionsofoperation.Additionally,custommetalsofconstructionforthereactorcanbeemployeddependingonthechemicalenvironmentforthereaction.
Thereactorsareequippedwithmagneticallycoupledimpellersforoptimalmixing.AllhighpressurecomponentsareASMEcompliantdesign(codestampavailable)andprotectedbyarupturediscforsafeoperations.Theselaboratorybenchtopmodelsareidealforapplicationswhererepetitiveusemakesconvenienceanecessity.Afewexamplesinclude:catalyticstudies,polymerization,hydrogenation,oxidation,isomerization,
anddehydrogenation.Allreactorsaresuppliedasready-to-useinstrumentsrequiringonlyutilityconnectionspriortooperation.Thereactorsarecompactinstrumentsthatfiteasilyintoafumehood.Theirmodulardesignmakesiteasyandcost-effectivetoaltertheunit’sbasicconfiguration,adaptingittomeetneworevolvingapplicationneeds.
Allfunctionsarecontrolledbyintegratedcontrolmodulesthatoffervariouslevelsofcontrol.Dependingonwhichcontrollerischosen,optionalfeaturesinclude:closedlooptemperaturecontrol,closedloopspeedcontrol,pressureindication,over-temperaturelimitcontrol,ramp/soakprogrammingoftemperatureandmixerspeed.
