At Bonbeach Primary School, we are dedicated to providing
your child with the best possible quality education. We strive to
ensure that your child has the necessary skills and knowledge
upon which they can build their future lives. We place great
importance on developing the confidence and self-esteem of
each of our students, by providing an engaging and supportive
learning environment.
We would like to welcome you to our 2017 Super Starters for
Pre-School children. Children do not need to be enrolled at
Bonbeach Primary School to attend this program. All children
that are starting school in 2018 are welcome.
Children will be involved in activities that are fun and engaging.
They will become familiar with both the school and classroom
environment, make friends with other children and be supported
by our caring and professional teaching staff. As a parent, it will
also provide you with the opportunity to ask us any questions that
you may have, and to see how our school operates. By the time
school commences in 2018, we will be ready to embrace the Prep
year together!
Super Starters 2017
Date: Friday 11th August 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: Letterland, Letterland, Let’s all go to Letterland!
We will visit Letterland, a magical place where all of our letters live.
Children will meet “Clever Cat” and complete an activity to practise
the sound “c”.
Date: Friday 28th July 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: Rainbow Fish and Friends
We invite parents/carers to this session to enjoy listening to the story
“Rainbow Fish” with your child. Along with your help, children will
make their own Rainbow Fish.
Date: Friday 25th August 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: Creativity and Design- make your own box construction
Children will read the story “My Cat Likes To Hide In Boxes. They will
then use their creativity to design their own cat house or bed using
boxes.
Date: Friday 8th September 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: Five Little Ducks
We will sing the song and read the story “The Five Little Ducks”.
Children will then create their own duck pond by matching the
numbers to the ducks.

Date: Friday 27th October 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: Library Visit
We will visit our school library and enjoy exploring what different books it has to offer. Children will listen to one of our P/1 students’ favourite books “Pig the Pug”. They will then make their own dog mask.
Date: Friday 10th November 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: Digital Appreciation
We will have a fun afternoon exploring a variety of educational games
and apps on the school iPads.
Date: 23rd, 28th November & 7th December 9:00 am- 10:00 am 12th December 9:00am -12:00pm Activity: Official 2018 Prep Transition mornings
Children who are enrolled at Bonbeach Primary School for the 2018 school year will participate in four transition sessions. They will meet their future buddies, participate in literacy and numeracy activities
and our Art, PE, Music and Indonesian programs.
Date: Friday 13th October 2:30pm-3:20pm Activity: PMP (Perceptual Motor Program)
Children will be introduced to our PMP program. They will move in a
group from one activity to another, trying different activities that
require fine and gross motor skills. They will enjoy balancing, jumping,
skipping, throwing and catching.

Wednesday 19th of July at 6:30pm –7:30pm
At this evening, you will meet the teachers who will be undertaking the
“Super Starters” sessions. We will discuss the Super Starters Program
and answer any questions you may have.
Wednesday 6th of December at 6:30pm– 7:30pm
This Information Night is for parents who have enrolled their child at
Bonbeach Primary School for Prep in 2018. You will learn more about
our school community, our school uniform policy, and the Victorian
Curriculum. Our Principal, School Council President, Specialist teachers
and Prep teachers for 2018 will be there to meet too.
