The Problem•D eveloping countries spend U S$3billion annually on pesticides.•It has been estim ated that there are 250,000 deaths annually from pesticide se lf-poisoning w orldw ide.

•The d irect cost of Cam bodian pesticide use has been estim ated at U S$7-20 m illion per year.

•In 2004, 419 pesticides sale in the m arket in Cam bodia.•In 2010, about 53 sm all farm ers in the provinces w ere supplying 38,870 kg organic vegetables . A bout 30 tons of vegetables w ere traded.
