STRONG YET LIGHTWEIGHT PLYWOOD PANELS WITH A MULTI-USE, QUICK-RELEASE SURFACE

In construction work, predictability counts. Materials and processes that perform exactly as expected save you time andmoney. So we built predictability into Finnforest plywood shuttering. The results are clean and accurate concretecastings, pour after pour.

With minimal deflection and high resistance to wear, Finnforest concrete formwork panels offer a longer service lifeand a smoother finish. The cost-savings come from the quality of the panel coatings and the lay-up of the panelveneers. It’s a combination that marries strength with repeated ease of use.

In addition to the quality of finish and lifetime cost savings, Finnforest shuttering panels bring you clear environmentalbenefits. Repeated reuse means less waste material and fewer vehicle movements. Most importantly our uniqueFinnish forest farmer ownership, combined with FSC & PEFC Chain of Custody at all UK sites, means every Finnforestpanel meets UK government requirements on legal and sustainable procurement.

SUPERIOR BIRCH FORMWORK PANEL WITH DOUBLE-SIDED PHENOLICOVERLAY FOR REPEATED SMOOTH CASTING

Strength and simplicity characterise Finnforest Form. These double-sided, superior shuttering panels are overlaidwith a smooth, hard, and slippery phenolic film for easy concrete casting and trouble-free release. The base filmweight is 120g/m2, although heavier weights (220 g/m2, 440 g/m2) and multiple overlays are available to order.

Abrasion resistance in the phenolic films is exceptional, while moisture absorption through the film overlays andsealed panel edges is minimal.

The useful life of Finnforest Form is effectively doubled through the application of phenolic films to both panelfaces. By following a basic maintenance routine, Finnforest Form continues to deliver smooth casts throughnumerous pours.

For extreme longevity (30–100 pours) choose Form 500 or Form 700.

For technical properties see pages 10 -11.

STRONG YET LIGHTWEIGHT SPRUCE FORMWORK PANEL WITH MDO COATINGFOR LONG LIFE AND EASY RELEASE

Concrete constructions go up faster and more cost-effectively with SpruceForm MDO. These high qualityconcrete formwork panels combine stiffness and ease of use with smoothness of finish and unsurpassedlongevity. For complex pours and tight construction schedules, SpruceForm MDO provides strong, rapid, andtrouble-free shuttering.

SpruceForm MDO panels are double-sided for longer life and multiple reuse. One side is faced with Dynea 333,a durable and scratch-resistant MDO (medium density overlay) paper that produces the smoothest concretefinish. The reverse is protected by a moisture-resistant 145g/m2 phenolic film that ensures the panel stays flat. Panel edges are sealed with a moisture-resistant acrylic paint.

At the heart of 18mm SpruceForm MDO (the most popular gauge) lies a shear-resistant six-layer constructionthat produces a lightweight panel with maximum strength in the longitudinal direction of the panel – and minimaldeflection across the formwork span. Increased shear resistance and stiffness comes from a central doublelayer of longitudinal veneers that overcomes the weakness of alternate longitudinal and lateral arrangements. Strength is further enhanced by bonding veneers with exterior-grade phenolic resin, while their low densityfacilitates nailing.

For technical properties and accreditation information see pages 12-13.

COST-EFFECTIVE GOOD 1 SIDE SPRUCE PLYWOOD PANEL FOR CONCRETESHUTTERING

The strength and rigidity of Finnforest 3Plus/III comes from the Nordic spruce veneers from which it isconstructed. 3Plus/III is a good all-round formwork panel where short-term cost-effectiveness is a priority.

For technical properties see pages 14-15.

CARE AND MAINTENANCETHE BETTER YOU CARE FOR YOUR PANELS, THE LONGER THEY LAST

Store formwork panels on flat, level, dry ground and protected with a waterproof covering. If conditions arehumid, remove strapping to prevent expansion damage.

Finnforest plywood formwork panels can be cut and shaped using standard woodworking tools. Seal theresultant raw edges with water-resistant paint.

Oil panels twice before the first use and then treat with a quality chemical release agent to ensure easy release.

Clean panels after each use to remove all concrete debris. Seal scratches with waterproof paint and fill holeswith water-repellent filler. Afterwards, apply a fresh coat of oil and then another coat of release agent prior toeach subsequent use.

Hi-tech production methods andquality control ensure a constantand reliable finish every time.

d = deflection limitation s= span/200 t= rolling shearThese tables show permissible concrete pressures for sanded and overlaid plywood at a moisture content of MC = 27%.Permissible stresses are raised from long-term values (BS 5268 Part 2) by a factor of 1.50 for short-term loading. The safety factor that has been used is 1.55.
