PLIC-VPL

The total cell count (averaged from the hematoxylin stained nuclei counted in the astroglia, microglia and neuronal counts) plotted against gestational age and post menstrual age for both of regions of the posterior limb of the internal capluse (PLIC) that was investigated. There was no effect of the gestational age or postmenstrual on the total number of cells in our regions of interest within the PLIC. Lines and shapes on the graphs respresent the control group (black) or the WMI group (red). PLIC adjacent to the VLp (PLIC-VLp) and VPL (PLIC-VPL)
