A program shirt must be worn at

all times during off-site field trips.

(Two shirts for swim trips are

recommended.)

Children may NOT be dropped off

at or picked up from a field trip

location under any circumstances.

A bag lunch will be provided on

field trips lasting over the lunch

period.

further information regarding trips.

Children will have the opportunity to see their summer rooms, meet their summer staff, and get familiar with the

summer SACC site. This is also a great time to buy program shirts, sign-in medications, and confirm schedules.

13 All Day First Day of Summer SACC—Getting To Know

You Activities @ Sunset Terrace All $0.00

Children will spend the day participating in a variety of ice-breaker activities to help introduce them to new

summer friends, SACC staff, as well as learn their way around the Sunset Terrace Summer SACC site.

Children will be introduced to the Rochester Public Library’s summer reading program, “Summer Playlist”.

We will also be seeing some special animal friends from Oxbow Park!

15 12:30-3:30 Olmsted County Public Health Presentation

Children will be seeing a presentation about the importance of sunscreen and personal hygiene given by the

Olmsted County Public Health Department.

16 12:30-3:30 Bounce House Fun @ Sunset Terrace All $7.00 Children will spend the afternoon bouncing away on a variety of inflatable bounce houses.

19 All Day Down Under Day @ Sunset Terrace All $0.00 Children will be participating in a variety of activities all while learning about the land down under, Australia!

@ Indian Heights Park in Rochester, MN All $3.00

Children will be participating in a variety of outdoor activities including fort building,

bug catching, and hiking at Indian Heights Park.

21 9:30-5:00 Swimming @ River Springs Water Park in

Owatonna, MN All $12.00

Children will have a picnic lunch at Manthey Park in Owatonna. We will then spend the afternoon swimming at

the River Springs Water Park. TWO SACC SHIRTS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR THIS TRIP.

Children will spend the morning learning all about life on the farm!

Please note this trip is for K-2 children only.

8:00-5:30 MN Twins Game @ Target Field in

Minneapolis, MN 3-5/6 $35.00

Children will spend the afternoon at Target Field to watch the Minnesota Twins take on the Chicago White Sox!

Reminder... this trip is for 3-5/6 children only. LIMITED AVAILABILITY!

23 12:30-3:30 Climb Theater Presentations @ Sunset Terrace All $7.00 CLIMB Theater provides high-quality educational performances that propel their audience toward positive action!

All children will be seeing a performance of “Self-Control”.

26 All Day Mad Science Day @ Sunset Terrace All $0.00 Be on the look out for some mad scientists!

Children will be conducting their very own science experiments and activities!

27 10:00-4:30 Swimming @ Soldier’s Field Pool in

Rochester, MN All $7.00

Children will have a picnic lunch and play at Soldier’s Field Park. We will then walk to Soldier’s Field Pool and

spend the afternoon swimming. TWO SACC SHIRTS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR THIS TRIP.

Children will be learning all about pedestrian and bike safety. They will then have an

opportunity to practice their skills in a pedestrian and bike rodeo including a short walk or bike ride,

depending on grade level. Please check the Welcome Center for more information regarding this event.

29 10:00-4:00 Rochester Honkers Game @ Mayo Field All $8.00 Children will have a picnic lunch at Mayo Civic Park, then walk to Mayo Field and enjoy an afternoon of

Rochester Honkers baseball!

30 All Day Rube Goldberg Machine Demo Day

A Rube Goldberg machine is a contraption, invention, device or apparatus that is deliberately over-engineered

to perform a simple task in a complicated fashion, generally including a chain reaction. Children will be

demonstrating their amazing Rube Goldberg machines they have created at SACC!
