An introduction

Welcome to SunriSe YachtS

It is with great pride that we invite you to experience Sunrise Yachts.

Sunrise Yachts offers a fresh approach to yacht building. With passionate, hands-on founders and a team that share a genuine love of its craft, we deliver technical excellence, elegant luxury and a brand faithful to its promise... at a fair price.

Working with the world’s leading yacht designers, combining Europe’s best in engineering and project management with Turkey’s dynamic, skilled and competitive management and workforce, Sunrise Yachts has established one of the largest modern yacht-building facilities in the Eastern Mediterranean.

However, a facility alone does not create a beautiful yacht. A good yacht is the story of good people. What visitors immediately notice when entering Sunrise Yachts is the enthusiasm of each team member, of which there are now more than 180.

Their pride and dedication to their work, complemented by the extensive sea experience of our senior managers, are reflected in each project’s overall quality.

Sunrise Yachts’ mission is to satisfy our clients by understanding their needs and achieving them on time, and within budget. We take special care and pride in producing outstanding yachts that bring joy and a sense of privilege to all who experience them.

It would be our pleasure to welcome you to beautiful Antalya, and to Sunrise Yachts – we would love to work with you in making your yachting dreams come true.

6 7 SUNRISE YACHTS - DREAM BUILDERS

Sunrise Yachts is located in the heart of Antalya: both a spectacular yachting destination and home to the largest yacht-building industry in the Eastern Mediterranean. Located within minutes from the centre of the third-largest city in Turkey, the Free Zone has developed into a cluster of shipbuilders, their sub-contractors and suppliers.

Sunrise One, totaling 11,000m2 of construction halls for projects up to 55 metres in length, also hosts the largest and most modern acclimatised, laboratory-style paint hall in the Mediterranean, ensuring a thoroughly controlled environment for high-quality painting.

Sunrise Two, offering an additional 9,000m2 of dedicated megayacht facilities, was recently inaugurated to accommodate the shipyard’s largest projects – up to 70 metres in length. It can accommodate three large projects; and currently houses two 63-metre yachts and one 57-metre yacht.

The shipyard specialises in high-tensile steel and aluminium construction, complemented by a composite construction unit for specific parts. The shipyard is currently in the process of obtaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications, and follows Lean Production criteria.

Along each side of the facility, space is made to accommodate long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, including air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. Independent offices and facilities are organised for surveyors, client representatives and classification societies.

Making your dreams a reality requires a thorough process. Unlike many yacht builders, Sunrise Yachts has an in-house team of specialist naval architects and engineers whose mission is to bring to life the ideas, concepts, and individual styles conceived by our clients and their design teams.

Sunrise Yachts has invested heavily in the technological heart of the shipyard with four engineering offices offering 50 workstations using state-of-the-art software including Autocad, Rhino and Aveva.

The engineering team’s expertise covers all areas of design and construction such as naval architecture and structural engineering, construction engineering, production engineering, quality assurance and control. The design process involves each yacht being virtually constructed prior to building.

The shipyard has an interiors department with dedicated project managers, designers, decorators and technicians who coordinate with subcontractors, and perform furniture and systems engineering and integration.

Sunrise Yachts is also actively involved in the in-house research and development of innovative technologies. These include E-Pod propulsion, turbine electrical generation, hybrid solutions and carbon-neutral solutions in collaboration with German and Dutch companies, which has translated into the highly anticipated 57m (Project 561) diesel-electric world cruiser to be launched in 2015.

The natural beauty of Africa has inspired countless dreams. The latest is M/Y Africa: a modern motoryacht with ageless lines, her design is both elegant and exotic.

A full-displacement, transatlantic yacht, Africa provides guests with remarkably generous volumes for a vessel of her size. Throughout the yacht, outdoor decks and interior salons and staterooms reveal great spaciousness: if not truly a continent, Africa evokes a five-star private island.

Africa has a high-tensile steel hull and aluminium superstructure and is built to comply with the highest safety and regulatory standards in the yachting

industry, including Lloyd’s Register of Shipping classification and LY2 code compliance.

The yacht’s engineering focused on sea worthiness and reliability as its primary objectives, and no efforts were spared with high-density insulation throughout to ensure the quietest environment for guests.

With an experienced yachtsman and a yacht captain forming part of the design team, the project was conceived with operational criteria in mind, resulting in features like the full-length technical tunnel providing easy access to tanks and systems at bilge deck level.

Timeless yacht concepts last forever. Four years after delivering M/Y Africa, Sunrise Yachts is completing her sister ship for a yachtsman who has an extensive navigation programme that requires a true ocean-going vessel.

The Sunrise 45m concept is a full-displacement luxury motoryacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, built to cruise all seas and oceans of the world. The yacht’s main characteristics include large volumes at 499 gross tons, excellent deck heights and an effective layout. She has demonstrated great stability, comfort and seaworthiness at sea, as well as extreme fuel efficiency and minimal sound and vibration levels.

The interior design was entrusted to the talents of Franck Darnet Design who designed the interior for Africa. In contrast to the dark tropical woods selected for the original Sunrise 45m, Project Sunset’s contemporary and elegant décor will feature light veneers and a vibrant colour scheme.

Yachting is the most exclusive taste of life and nature’s most desirable elements: the sea, sky and sun. The Sunrise 50m draws inspiration from each of these elements and, through the design team of Espen Øino, Sunrise Yachts and Franck Darnet Design, has a layout that invites owners and guests to enjoy the complete experience. An innovative approach to spaces and the allowance of natural light throughout the vessel, coupled with strong, elegant, contemporary lines, provides visual differentiation that will resist the passage of time.

The indoor-outdoor spaces bring guests closer to the sea, offering a radically new experience of life at sea. The innovative deck arrangement offers the yacht’s prime real estate to owners and their guests with the entire lower deck dedicated to services and technical areas, while the full-height windows, skylights and balconies extending over the water offer an abundance of natural light and unrestricted views.

The first Sunrise Yachts’ superyacht opened a new chapter in the history of the company, and is a tribute to its ambition – to make a difference in the largeryacht category, above 60 metres, where experienced and novice clients alike are expecting innovation and value.

At nearly 1,500 gross tons, Project 601 is a monumental yacht, following a direction in the market where the designer, Espen Øino, has introduced a unique combination of elegance and volume. The yacht’s dimensions offer an ideal outcome: a yacht large enough to be visually breathtaking, and offering spectacular spaces for entertainment, yet able to enter most superyacht marinas.

According to Sunrise CEO Guillaume Roché: “By its sheer volume and additional technological complexity, this project is a significant leap forward for us that involves both local and international knowledge. In order to meet this exciting challenge, we have increased our engineering capacity substantially and called upon European specialists to ensure unconditional success.”

The choice of Redman Whiteley Dixon as interior designers further asserts the sophistication of the project, as reflected in the spectacular beach club.

The first Sunrise Yachts’ superyacht opened a new chapter in the history of the company, and is a tribute to its ambition – to make a difference in the larger yacht category, above 60 metres, where experienced and novice clients alike are expecting innovation and value.

At nearly 1,500 gross tons, Project601 is a monumental yacht, following a direction in the market where the designer, Espen Øino, has introduced a unique combination of elegance and volume.

The choice of Redman Whiteley Dixon as interior designers further asserts the sophistication of the project, as reflected in the spectacular beach club.

sunrise 63m project 632

Project 632 is built for an experienced yacht owner seeking an extremely spacious yacht while keeping the overall envelope at a reasonable size. The distinctive design is based on the same hull and technical platform as Project 601. The most notable characteristic of the project is its volume, making it the world’s largest yacht for its length. Espen Øino’s talent combined ship-like strength with fluid lines and spectacular glass surface areas.

Espen Øino’s says: “Working with a young and dynamic yard, combining the best of two worlds with European engineering excellence and non-European labour cost, is a new and refreshing experience from a designer’s point of view. It makes it possible to design and build state-of-the-art yachts at cost levels normally associated with much less sophisticated projects.”

According to Focus Yacht Design: “A good interior starts with an idea with all colours, shapes and details bound in a composition. The openness of the design called for a concept that created a relationship between the yacht and her environment: the ocean, shore and beaches should be connected to the experience on board, in an abstract flow. This concept led to a specific range of shapes and colours, namely blue and sand.”

Project 561 is an extraordinary project developed for a client with a passion for the ocean: a world cruiser designed for circumnavigation and equipped with pod-driven diesel-electric propulsion and featuring head-turning, aggressive and unique styling.

With an extensive navigation programme, the requirements were challenging, combining increased performance and range with the highest levels of comfort, particularly in terms of sound and vibration: the diesel-electric and azimuthal pod thruster propulsion package proposed by the shipyard – a first for a yacht of this size – sustained a thorough engineering modeling and validation process.

Featuring indoor-outdoor spaces on the main deck and bridge deck with an abundance of natural light, the yacht features a full fourth deck with a panoramic master suite aft and a large observation lounge forward. The contemporary, elegant interior, combining brightness and warmth, is entrusted to the talent of the acclaimed firm Reymond Langton Design.

Our location

antalYa

Legends hold their share of truth. It was said that in the second century BC King Attalos II of Pergamon sent his fleet to discover the most heavenly place on Earth – Antalya was found – and named after the king. In 2012, the capital of theTurkish Riviera became the third most visited city in the world, connected by an award-winning international airport.

The 630 km of shoreline of the province is scattered with ancient cities, harbours and beaches, secluded coves and lush forests, many of which are easily accessible from the city.

Antalya is the ideal holiday destination for yachting and water sports including diving and paragliding, while skiing and hiking enthusiasts frequent Taurus Mountains and golfers enjoy the world-class golf facilities. The city is appreciated internationally for its five-star accommodation and the unprecedented Turkish hospitality.

The Antalya Free Trade Zone has become, over the past 15 years, the new hub for yacht construction and servicing in Turkey, hosting a dense network of marine suppliers and subcontractors, many of which work for Sunrise Yachts. A visit to Antalya, via sea or land, will provide the inspiration you need to bring your yachting dreams to life.
