Our first event we want our church family to be mindful about is our church directory. Pictures will be taken, at no cost, on Wednesday, September 4—Sunday, September 8, 2019. For more information check inside the newsletter. First Responders Sunday will be held on September 8, 2019. More information about this Sunday is in the newsletter. Leading up to Celebrate Commitment Sunday we are inviting all Sunday school classes and individuals to join us on a radical, passionate, intentional risk-taking, and extravagant journey as we read and study together, Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations by Robert Schnase. Books are available for donation in each Sunday school room and in the church office.

BIBLE STUDY
Starting Wednesday, September 4, 2019, First Ozark will offer a Bible study on Hosea through Malachi. Wednesday Bible Study will meet every Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. In this Wesley Bible Study, we will journey from Hosea through Malachi, focusing on key scriptures from these books. This series also uses quotes from John Wesley as well as hymns from Charles Wesley. It uses activities and questions to help develop fellowship and growth. Books are $5 and are available in the front office. Feel free to bring a sack lunch if you’d like.
First Responder Sunday
First Ozark is grateful for our community’s first responders. To honor them we are inviting all first responders and their families to join us on Sunday, September 8, 2019, during our worship services. Following the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. we will have a fellowship luncheon in honor of the first responders and their families. If you are a first responder or know a first responder, please invite them and make plans to join us for this time of expressing our thanks. Everyone is invited to worship and lunch.
First Ozark Christian Learning Center
Our Child Development Center is making some changes, including a new name -- First Ozark Christian Learning Center. With a new name, we would also like to give our learning center a fresh face. On Saturday, September 14, 2019, the Christian Learning Center will be holding a clean-up day. As part of our outreach ministry, we would love to have our members lend a hand. Clean up will start at 8:00 a.m., and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. For more information, contact the church office at 334-774-2569.
