Cindy and I will be out of town visiting our children April 12-15, Kirk Eason will preach at the morning assembly in my absence on Sunday, April 14. After graduating from Texas A&M, Kirk served as youth minster for 12 years with the Chandler Street Church of Christ in Kilgore, Texas. Kirk then worked first for Austin Graduate School of Theology in Austin, Texas, and then with Lifeline Chaplaincy in Houston, Texas. In 2010 he and his wife, Christie, began their present association with Southern Africa Bible College, raising money for and awareness of this school that is located in Benoni, South Africa. The Easons live in Katy, Texas, and worship with the Memorial Church of Christ in Houston. Founded in 1965 by an American missionary, Eldred Echols and Al J. Horne, one of the first converts associated with Church of Christ mission efforts in South Africa, Southern Africa Bible College has trained over 2,000 students, with graduates who serve as preachers, teachers, Christian leaders and church planters in 28 countries around the world.
