More than 140 joyful family, friends, alumni, parish and school members came out in full force to support and honor Mary Margaret Barrett, ICS Class of 1981. Mary is the daughter of lifelong Lowellians Richard and Joan (Gorman) Barrett, and grew up in Lowell’s Immac- ulate Conception Parish along with her siblings, Richard, Catherine, Daniel and Martha. She spent 20-plus years in the finance sector. Not only does Mary exude intelligence and dedication, she also has a great passion for her community. She is currently a board member of the Lowell Association for the Blind, a former board member of the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, where she graduated with the Class of 1985, and was a member of ICS Development Committee. Mary’s interests include supporting The Brush Art Gallery in Lowell, the Low- ell Humane Society, for her abiding love for animals, and many of Lowell’s other cultural and educational organizations. This single event raised $20,000 for the Immaculate Conception School. For more information, visit www.icslowell.com.
