From the Pastor
A grandmother was in a mall with her 6-year-old grandson, and she met a
friend. The woman looked down at the little boy and said, “Hey there,
young man. What do you want for Christmas?”
He looked up at her and said, “That’s not the question.”
She said, “Well, well, well…”
The boy continued, “I know the question, and I know the answer to the question.”
The friend said, “Okay, what are they?”
The 6-year-old replied, “The question is, ‘What will I give Jesus this Christmas?’
The answer is, ‘Me.’
The young boy had it right. That is all God really wants. When we receive Jesus, we are to give
Him ourselves in return. This is the supernatural transaction that enables us to celebrate fully
and
completely God’s gift at Christmas.
This past Sunday’s presentation by the worship team was truly a blessing! I hope you will
watch it again on Facebook or share it with a friend. Thank you to Bobby and the team for
working so hard to bless the Lord and others. This Sunday will be a big day, as many of you
have already told me you are bringing family and friends. God has given me an encouraging
message and I hope you will bring even more people with you this Sunday. Don’t forget the
Lord’s Supper service at 5:00!
Merry Christmas!
Bro. Tommy
