NEWBORN ANGELS

WELCOME, Moms!We are thrilled you’ve decided to join our 2016-17 Beaverton MOPS and MOMSnext groups! In the months ahead, we are eager to meet all of you who are here for the first time, and for those who are returning, we look forward to growing our relationships with you.

The international MOPS theme for the 2016-17 year is We are the Starry Eyed. The spiritual foundation of the theme is from Jeremiah 33:2-3, “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it – the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Starry Eyed is…. Seeing the light in the darkness and choosing to live courageously in both. It is opening our eyes to wonder and choosing hope over fear. Starry Eyed is significant acts of kindness that send ripples of light into the world. It is a choice to live fully and wholly and to breathe our way back to life. This year we will run wildly toward wonder, hope and kindness because we are the starry eyed and we choose to see the light.

As you have heard, MOPS/MOMSnext is a co-op and depends on the support of all members to donate their time and talents to make us a successful ministry. Through rotations in MOPPETS, serving on committees and contributing to our brunch and cleanup, each of us can help make MOPS more enjoyable, affordable and rewarding for the whole.

Being a mother is one of the greatest blessings and rewards in life. However, we also know first- hand that it is one of the most challenging jobs you will ever have! We hope our MOPS and MOMSnext meetings will provide the opportunity for you to celebrate the wonderful mom you are and to spend time nurturing and focusing on the important relationships in your life. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any needs, questions or suggestions at any time throughout our year together. Each of you is important to us and we pledge to keep you and your children in our prayers.

Denise Miles (Green) and her husband Ben, along with brother Chase (4 yrs. old) and sister Hailey (2 yrs. old), welcomed Ryder Lawrence 8lbs, 20.5 inches long on May 7th.

Olivia Kirrer (Blue) and her husband Jason, along with brother Dylan (4 yrs. old) and

sister Reese (2 yrs. old), welcomed Miles Harrison 7lbs, 20.5 inches long on Sept 3rd.

Crystal Carlson (Pink) and her husband Matt, along with brother Aiden (3 yrs. old), welcomed Eleanor Gracelynn Carlson on September 10th.
