Black History Month . . .Take a look at our history. When you come in the foyer there is a display of Jesus’ history and Braden’s history. You may go to the McFarland room and see the Great Migration; then in the sanctuary you will see a glimpse from Africa to the United States. Going to the gym area there is the President and family at the White House.

I am happy to report that William Mandela has been released from UTMC and is back at home. He is doing very well. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, vis-its, cards and well wishes. We will have a guest speaker from the American Heart Association that will discuss the issue of Women and Heart Disease. All are welcome!

Sunday School celebrates Black History Month . . .The Sunday School department will gather in the gym during the month of February during Sunday School time. Sister Cerssandra McPherson Honored!...Congratulations to Sis. Cerssandra McPherson who was selected as an honoree of the 2013 Black History Celebration by the Voice of Hope Outreach Ministry. She will be honored at the “Stepping Out In Faith Banquet”, featuring the “The Silent Soldiers Award” on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Grand Plaza Hotel, 444 N. Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio. Tickets are $35.00 per person or $300 for a table. Children 13 and under are $15.00. Congratula-tions Sandra!
