Sundarban is the only mangrove forest in the world having the tiger as its indigenouspopulation. As per 2004 census, the tiger population in Indian Sundarban is around 274, out ofwhich Sundarban Tiger Reserve and South 24-Parganas Forest Division have 249 Tigers and 25tigers respectively. There are 58 species of mammals, 55 species of reptiles and around 248 birdspecies.Sundarbun is a home to a rich population of different species of wildlife, such as Royal BengalTiger, water fowl, heron, pelican, spotted deer, Rhesus Macaques, wild boar, Water MonitorLizards, Fishing Cats, otters, marine turtles like Olive Ridley, Green Sea Turtle, HawksbillTurtle, crocodiles, Batagur Terrapins, Common otter, Gangetic Dolphin Snubfin dolphin, RiverTerrapin Six species of Shark & Ray, and migratory birds.There are 248 species of birds including a large number of migrants from the higher latitudesthat visit the area in winter. It consists of Herons, Egrets, Cormorants, Storks, Green Pigeons,Sand Pipers, Large and Small Spoonbills, Darters, Seagulls, Teal, Partridges, great variety of WildGeese and Ducks.

Day 1: Kolkata to Sundarbans. Pickup from Kolkata at 12:30 hrs in anexclusive vehicle and drive toSonakhali/Godhkhali, a journey ofabout 3 hrs. We start our cruise fromSonakhali/Godhkhali jetty by motorboat launch to Sajnekhali in theSundarbans Islands.

Overnight stay will be at the houseboat/Hotel.

Day 2: Sundarbans (Cruise time 8 hrs.)The second day involves cruising through the creeks and the rivers to reach Bonniecamp. Bonnie Camp is one of the most beautiful watchtowers in the Sundarbans. Thiswatchtower, 50 feet high, is the highest watchtower in the Sundarbans. It is quite closeto the Bay of Bengal and generally takes around.

Like all other watchtowers of Sundarbans, there is a sweet-water pond where thewildlife of Sundarbans frequent throughout the day. The ambience of the watchtower isabsolutely fabulous and one gets the feeling of being marooned on a desolate islandwhen one spends the night at Bonnie camp. The lurking fear of the Royal Bengal Tigerand the barking of the deer at night add an eerie feeling to this destination. In fact, on amoonlit night, the view of the jungle from the watchtower crisscrossed with rivulets andcreeks all around is a treat for the eyes. Overnight stay will be at the houseboat/Hotel.

Day 3: Sunderbans.

After breakfast, we set out to view wildlife from the Sajnekhali Watchtower and visit theSajnekhali Museum and Mangrove Interpretation Centre.Cruise through the creeks and enjoy the lovely sunset on the river against the backdrop of theSundarbans Forest.If your option of stay is hotels/resorts, you check-in to the hotel/resort, otherwise you remainon board the boat enjoying the thrill of staying overnight on the boat on the river.

Day 4: Sundarbans

The forth day involves cruising through the deepcreeks and covering the watchtowers of Burir Dabri,Kumirmari and the forest of Morich Jhapi.Burirdabri in Sundarbans national Park is famous forits watchtower, a mudwalk and mangrove cage trailleading to a viewpoint known as Raimongal ViewPoint. Visit the watch Tower at Burirdabri camp. TheKumirmari watchtower offers an exciting view of thejungles. Overlooking an untamed forest scape,enjoy the sights and sounds of nature resplendentin her pristine virginal beauty.Enjoy an absorbing evening watching “Bono BibirPala”, folklore of Sundarbans. Overnight stay will beat the houseboat.

Day 5: - SundarbansThe fift day involves a full day cruise through the rivers and narrow creeks of the SundarbansNational Park and a lovely birding experience. Food would be prepared and served on the motor boat. Start after bed tea and visit the various watch towers of Sudhanyakhali as well as Do Banki.The Sudhanyakhali , watch tower at the Sundarban National Park is interesting as most of the tigers are sighted from this tower. Some other wildlife like axis deers, wild boars and crocodiles may also be seen from this watch tower. There is a sweet water pond where animals come to drink water. Behind the pond are stretches of land bereft of any vegetation where one can sight animals from a distance. Dinner and night halt at the Boat/resort.

The canopy walk at Do Banki gives you an opportunity to view wildlife from a netted enclosure. Next on our itinerary would be the Spotted Deer Rehabilitation Centre. Thereafter, enjoy the thrill of cruising deep in the “Indian Amazon” as India Beacons calls it and also around the islands of the Sundarban Tiger Project Area. Let yourself be guided by our Naturalist and Guide to view the Mangrove forest from close quarters, deep inside the creeks and return in the evening. Overnight stay will be at the houseboat.

Day 6: - Sundarbans to Kolkata

In the morning, we cruise along the creeks and take you

for a village tour to the southernmost village of South 24Parganas.

This is a special attraction of the Travel Green’s tourwhere you have a chance to get a feel of the "Mudflats".An important physical feature of Sundarbans is the"Mudflats". Do not forget to carry your “Bermudas” as theinviting waters of the Sundarbans entice you to wadethrough them and frolic on the "Mudflats". You may belucky enough to see small Octopus, Star Fish, Jelly Fish,Horse shoe Crab, Prawn seeds as well as many othervariety of fishes etc.

An interesting activity involves country boat ride alongthe jungles. We then set off for a visit to a village andlearn about the experiences of the villagers in the forest.Meet the fishermen, the Honey Collectors as well as thewoodcutters and share their experiences of the Jungle.

After lunch at the resort/boat, at around 12:00 p.m, wedepart for Godhkhali to be transferred to Kolkata. Arriveat Kolkata by about 5:30 / 6:00 pm. Your Sundarbans tourends with sweet memories. Transfer to hotelhotel/airport.

OVERNIGHT BOAT STAY FACILITY:Our 6 Cylinder boat has a Govt. Licenced capacity of 45 persons on the deck. For staying overnight in the boat, we have Two Rooms (Photograph attached), & beautiful deck where in a maximum of 6 to 12 persons can comfortably stay overnight in the boat.The boat will be anchored in the middle of the river opposite the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve. CANCELLATION POLICY:-(a) If written intimation is received at least 30 days or more in advance from thedate of journey, then 30% of Total Bill amount will be charged as cancellation fees.(b) If written intimation is received within a period of 29 days to 15 days of thedate of journey, 50% of the Total Bill will be charged as cancellation Fees.(c) No refund is allowed if written intimation of cancellation is received within 14days of date of journey.

•Proof of Identity for Indian Residents: A recent government notification requires Indian residents to carry proof of identity card at the time of check in. The proof of identity can either be guest’s driving license, passport or voter’s card only.

•Proof of Identity for Foreign Nationals: Please carry original passport with visa during your travel and send us a scanned copy of passport and visa for forest permit.

•Effective 2nd October 2008, the Government has introduced "No-Smoking" legislation for resorts, restaurants and all public places. As a consequence, smoking is prohibited inside all bedrooms except in designated bedroom balconies where smoking is permitted.

The entire tour from Kolkata to Sunderbans and back to Kolkata includes travelling by Road and River Transport and the stay at the Houseboat/Resort. In order to make the tour enjoyable and considering the safety and security of all concerned it is Mandatory for each and every Tourist/Guest to abide by the following Rules and Regulations. Your tour is confirmed upon the premise that you agree to abide by the terms and conditions mentioned herewith:•In the Vehicle/Bus/ Motor Boat the priority of seat (s) will be given to tourists who book the tours on First Come First serve basis. Children under the age of 05 years sharing the tour with their parents /Guardians have to share the seating with their parents/guardians.•During the tour the tourist(s) are requested not to create any nuisance such as to disturb, irritate or annoy the other tourist(s) and will cooperate fully with the Travel Green & associate staff in order to maintain peace and harmony.•It is vital that the serenity of the Sunderbans National Park is maintained. Hence, carrying any sort of Music system is Strictly Prohibited.•Consumption of Alcohol drinks or any Narcotics is STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON THE BOAT.
