Following the surgery, my dermatologist recommended that I wear sun-protective clothing whenever I planned on being outside. So I rolled down my sleeves and started an exhaustive search for comfortable, fashionable sun-protective clothing.

To my dismay, all I could find were clothes that were either specifically designed for an outdoor activity --like running or surfing-- or styles that were targeting an older demographic.

What I wanted was fashionable apparel that would protect my skin from harmful UV rays, while still main-taining a sense of style, versatility, and expression. Something I could feel confident wearing to a picnic or an outdoor function, or just walking around the city.

And just like that, the idea for SUMMERSKIN was born. Today, the company combines high-end luxury fabrics composed of natural cottons, Tencel, and bamboo/cotton blends with a research and development process that is backed by a licensed pharmacist and skin cancer survivor.

Our fabrics are luxurious, breathable, and most of all comfortable--I love them and I know you will too!

By utilizing classic silhouettes and fun fashion pieces, SUMMERSKIN clothing and accessories provide wearable sun protection and easy, every day style.
