1. The British built military structures according to the needs of the country to defend it

better. Discuss this statement, by making close reference to these defensive structures

and how they are being preserved to be enjoyed by future generations.

2. Discuss how transport affects the natural and social environment and offer solutions or

strategies how to reduce its negative impact.

3. Should nations make use of Renewable sources of energy or Non-Renewable

sources to generate electricity?

Answer this question by:

a) Explaining the terms marked in bold, by giving examples for each.

b) Give TWO advantages and TWO disadvantages for EACH.

c) What should be the best option (from the words marked in bold) for the Maltese

Islands to safeguard our environment? Give valid and detailed reasons for your answer

by giving good examples.
