Summer School...

As the name says, it is a summer school for the highschool pupils. This project is structued in five tracks: Public Speaking, Personal Development, Liv-ing Diversity, Project Management and Sustainable Development. Each track contains several trainings delivered by trainers from the international AIESEC network and the local AIESEC Pitesti trainers.

This year, the project was on it’s forth edition and the number of participants was 120. The participant high schools were: Alexandru Odobescu, Zinca Golescu, I.C Bratianu, Ion Barbu, Maria Teiuleanu (Economic).

The official opening took place on 21st June at the Student’s House and the project’s duration was 4 weeks. The trainings took place inside the University of Pitesti. All the participants have recieved a diploma and the most active students have been rewarded

Summer School ...

După cum spune si numele, este o şcoală de vară adresată elevilor de liceu. Acest proiect este structurat pe 5 module: Public Speaking, Personal Development, Living Diversity, Project Management şi Sustainable Development. Fiecare modul conţine mai multe traininguri ţinute de traineri din reţeaua internaţională alaturi de membri ai AIESEC Piteşti.

Anul acesta proiectul a ajuns la a patra ediţie si numărul de participanţi a fost de 120 de liceeni. Li-ceele care au avut reprezentanţi în acest an au fost: Alexandru Odobescu, Zinca Golescu, I.C Bratianu, Ion Barbu, Maria Teiuleanu (Economic),

Deschiderea oficială a fost pe data de 21 iunie la Casa Studentului şi proiectul s-a desfaşurat pe du-rata a 4 saptămâni. Trainingurile s-au desfăşurat în corpul D al Universităţii Piteşti. Participanţii au primit diplome şi cei mai activi cursanţi au fost premiaţi.

Cele 5 module desfasurate:

publIC SpEAkIng a conţinut traininguri despre etapele conceperii şi sustinerii unei prezentări şi s-a încheiat cu simularea unui discurs.

pErSonAl dEvElopmEnT a conţinut traininguri ce au avut ca scop să ii ajute pe participanţi să işi descopere punctele tari şi să ii inveţe cum să profite de acestea.

ProjECt mAnAgEmEnt a fost un set de traininguri pentru dezvoltarea abilităţilor de management de proiect. În loc de simulare, modulul s-a încheiat printr-un Global Village realizat alături de partici-panţii de la modulul de Living Diversity în incinta Jupiter City.

lIvIng dIvErSITy a încercat sa evidenţieze diferen-ţele dintre oameni şi sa ofere soluţii pentru a trece mai uşor peste acestea. Modulul a avut un impact mare asupra participanţilor datorită faptului ca toate trainingurile au fost susţinute în întregime de traineri din străinătate cât şi prin realizarea unui Global Village.

SuSTAInAblE dEvElopmEnT a constat în 4 dezbateri pe teme legate de probleme de mediu şi de respon-sabilitate socială.

publIC SpEAkIng contained trainings about the stages of conceiving and sustaining a presentation and ended with a simulation of a speech

pErSonAl dEvElopmEnT contained trainings me-ant to help the participants to discover their strong points and to teach them how to take advantage of them.

ProjECt mAnAgEmEnt was made of trainings for the development of project management abilities. Instead of a simulation, the module ended with a Global Village, which took place in Jupiter City, organized together with the participants from the Living Diversity module.

lIvIng dIvErSITy tried to point put the differences between people and to provide solutions in order to get over them more easily. The module had a great impact upon the participants, not only due to the fact that every training was entirely held by foreign trainers, but also by organizing a Global Village.

SuSTAInAblE dEvElopmEnT had four debates about environmental issues and how to be more social responsible.

Poate fi rezumat într-un cuvant: interculturalitate. Evenimentul a constat în prezentarea a 20 de ţări din toata lumea în incinta Jupiter City. Elevii par-ticipanţi la Summer School şi trainerii lor au fost ajutaţi de către colegii lor din AIESEC Piteşti.

Elevii de la modulele de Project Management si Living Diversity au fost impartiti in echipe de 5-6 şi au trebuit sa lucreze împreună pentru a realiza o prezen-tare cât mai originală a ţării pe care au avut-o.

Printre metodele folosite au fost: prezentări în power-point sau filmuleţe, costume tradiţionale, mâncăruri şi băuturi specifice, diverse obiecte reprezentative (stea-guri, simboluri), fotografii, desene etc. Toate aceste lucruri au fost posibile cu sprijinul Carrefour Piteşti.

Cinci dintre standurile prezente în cadrul eve-nimentului au fost realizate de către studenţi din străinătate aflaţi în stagii în cadrul AIESEC Piteşti.

Fiind o organizaţie internationala, AIESEC organizea-za des evenimente de acest gen cu scopul de a promova interculturalitatea şi dialogul între diferite popoare, lucru ce ne apropie mai mult de misiunea organizaţiei pacea si împlinirea potenţialului uman, dar acesta este primul care s-a adresat unui public atat de larg şi care a atins cifre asa de mari: 20 de standuri la realizarea carora au participat aproape 100 de oameni, durata evenimentului a fost de 4 ore, in jur de 1000 vizitatori.

Can be summarized in one word: interculturality. 20 countries were presented at this event, inside Ju-piter City. The Summer School participant students and their trainers have been aid by their AIESEC PITESTI team mates.

The students from Project Management and Living Diversity modules have been divided in 5-6 members teams and had to work together in order to achieve a more original presentation of their country.

Some of the used techniques were: powerpoint presentations or short movies, traditional costumes, regional food and drink, some representative objects (flags, symbols), pictures, drawings etc. All these have become a reality with the help of Carrefour Pitesti.

Five of the stands in the event were organized by foreign students, being in their exchange experience inside AIESEC Pitesti.

Being an international organization, AIESEC often organizes such events in order to promote in-terculturality and the opening to foreigners, acording to the mission of the organisation, world peace and the fullfilment of the humankind potential, yet this is the first one available for such a wide public and that reached such high results: 20 stands, organized by almost 100 people, the duration was about 4 hours, and about 1000 visitors

Participanţii de la Summer School au fost foarte încântaţi de modul interactiv si glumeţ în care Nar şi-a susţinut trainingurile.

Are 24 de ani şi a venit din America. Este născut în Mexic

Chris a reuşit sa impresioneze prin mo-dul sau prietenos de a fi şi prin abilitatea sa de a învata limba română extrem de rapid.

Cei doi au venit în Romania prin inter-mediul programului Exchange organizat de AIESEC Piteşti şi împreuna cu trainerii locali AIESEC cei doi trainee au susţinut toate trai-ningurile de la modulele de Public Speaking, Personal Development şi Living Diversity.

The two came in Romania through the Exchange program organized by AIESEC Pitesti and together with the local AIESEC trainers they have delivered all the trainings

After taking part to these trainings, the pupils were attracted by the AIESEC world and applied to enter the organisation when students. In conclusion, this project had an impact for the pupils, who later became students of the University from Pitesti and applied for AIESEC, wishing to invest more in their personal development.

We also plan for the next edition to have more participants and to involve again members from AIE-SEC International network. This thing can only be achieved through the involvement of more powerful companies and institutions from local and national level. This is the reason why we appreciate any desi-re to invest in the future generations and to support the youth development.

We would like to thank to the University of Pitesti, Jupiter City, Carrefour, Johnson Control, Casa Stu-dentului and our main media partener, Kiss FM, for their support, which made this project a reality and we hope this is just a little step from a long, succesful colaboration.

După ce au participat la aceste cursuri, mulţi liceeni au fost atraşi de lumea AIESEC şi au aplicat pentru a intra în organizaţie. Prin urmare, acest proiect a avut impact in rândul elevilor care mai târziu au devenit studenţi ai Universitaţii din Piteşti şi au aplicat pentru AIESEC, dorindu-şi astfel să investească mai mult în dezvoltarea lor.

De asemenea, ne propunem ca la următoarea ediţie să avem mai mulţi participanţi şi să implicăm din nou traineri din reţeaua internaţională AIESEC. . Acest lucru poate fi realizat prin implicarea mai multor firme şi instituţii puternice de la nivel local şi naţional, tocmai de aceea apreciem orice dorinţa de a investi în viitoarele generaţii şi de a sprijini dezvol-tarea tinerilor.

În final vrem sa mulţumim Universităţii Piteşti, Jupiter City, Carrefour, Johnson Control, Casa Stu-dentului şi partenerului nostru media principal Kiss FM pentru spijinul acordat, sprijin fără de care acest proiect nu ar fi putut exista şi sperăm ca acesta este decat un mic pas dintr-o lunga colaborare.
