We’re also very proud of our developing creative industries programme (www.creativeindustriestrafford.org) which is rapidly making us a hub of creativity in the north west, helping us to grow and support the local economy.
We always like to hear from you with your ideas about how you think we can improve things for you here at Waterside, so do please join us on Facebook and Twitter. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you to Waterside Arts Centre in the very near future. There’s lots going on.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Wrapped in the cloak of Cold War paranoia, this is a story of tRuth, feAR And betRAyAl, inspired by the dystopian worlds of George Orwell and influenced by 1950’s Film noir. exploring the divide between fact and fiction, this powerful piece is a dark, claustrophobic nightmare akin to the thrillers of Hitchcock, where the truth is just a figment of your imagination.

Sat 25th May - Sat 28th SeptemberFive years after buying a bundle of old letters in an antique shop, textile artist Maria Walker met poet Angela Topping and discovered that the letters had been written by Angela’s grandparents. Inspired by this amazing coincidence, Maria and Angela began to work together.
Angela’s poems combine her childhood memories with family stories she discovered in the letters while Maria’s textile pieces and installations explore the narrative in the letters, combining extracts from them and lines from Angela’s poems with photographs, drawings and found objects.
