Ages 8 +Now in its 8th year, the hugely successful Moat Theatre Summer Project in conjunction with Brian Brady Youth

Theatre, returns this year commencing on 24th June. This year’s show is GREASE and Brian & Allie will put partici-pants through their paces three afternoons each week

throughout the Summer – a fun filled Summer is guaran-teed. At the beginning of September, there will be a week

long run of performances open to all. Book early!

One of the longest running most successful summer camps in Naas!Monday 7th July- Friday 11th July, Ages 5 – 13

Experience the Magic of Theatre!A week of Drama, Singing and Dancing in a workshop of

Performance Art that guarantees to Entertain, Enlighten and Inspire. Then get on stage for a performance at the end of the

week for your family to enjoy!You can also combine this with ART & COOKERY

to make this a day long Camp

This weekend lighting workshop is a 16 hour course split over two days. The workshop makes stage lighting design

accessible to anyone who has an interest in the area. Its a hands on approach to learning with a Stage Lighting

Workshop booklet created by the coordinator to help you along the way. You will gain first hand experience in the principles of stage lighting. equipment, set up, lighting

positions, rig plans, colour, creating an atmosphere, plot-ting, lighting a scene from a play and more.

A must for any young budding lighting techie or those who just love theatre!

of family and friends?Well this is your opportunity to work on some great songs, learn the latest dance moves and work on some cool comedy sketches and then put it all together at the end of the week and PERFORM in front of family and friends-and all this done in a fun atmosphere with emphasis on learning skills and build-ing confidence. Backstage, nationally recognised for its work with young people, will have its team of permanent teachers working at the camp. Backstage runs throughout the year at the Moat Theatre. And because we have so much confidence in our staff team, you only pay the deposit in advance and the balance is not due until the final day of the course when par-ents are fully satisfied with the quality of the week’s work-and if not-no need to pay!See Backstage students in ‘Moone Boy’, ’Afric’, ‘The Tudors’ and ‘Vikings

Stage Lighting Workshop

Ballet Ireland’s 14th Annual Summer School:

"Let’s Make a Ballet"Ages 6 +

Monday 11th – Friday 15th AugustThis year it’s all about shoes!!! Drawing on inspiration from the original tale, The Elves and the Shoemaker, this year’s

participants will have an unforgettable time creating a ballet with professional dancers from Ballet Ireland. Each day begins with class on stage with the dancers. Summer

school participants become part of the creative proc-ess, helping to devise the choreography, create sets and

costumes (including shoes!). Our hugely popular summer school, gives aspiring performers a taste for all that goes into making a ballet and a peak into the life of a profes-

sional dancer. Together with the dancers, the young performers play an important role in the creation of their own full length ballet which is performed on stage at the end of the week for family and friends to come and enjoy.

Suitable for ages 6+ with or without dance training.

Your child can stay in The Moat Theatre all day, relax with their

lunch here, have some fun learning a few culinary skills and developing their artistic talents.

They can try mixing up some

cakes, trying basic baking skills, some creative masks or paint a

masterpiece to take home.
