HITCH A RIDE to the Minnesota State FairJoin Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union for our trip to the Minnesota State Fair on Senior’s Day, Thursday, September 1, 2016. MMFCU is providing three locations for pick up by Andy’s Charter Services, LLC.

1. NEW LOCATION! STAPLES: Depart from the east side of Ernie’s Market parking lot in Staples at 6:45a.m. (425 US 10 E, Staples)

2. BAXTER: Depart from the NE corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot in Baxter at 7:00a.m. (7295 Glory Rd, Baxter)

3. LITTLE FALLS: Depart from the NE corner of the Little Falls Wal-Mart parking lot, at 7:30a.m. (15091 18th St NE, Little Falls)

• We will be departing the fairgrounds at 4:00p.m. and approximately return to Little Falls at 6:30p.m., Baxter at 7:00p.m. , and Staples at 7:15p.m.

• Cost is $30.00 per person for members, $40.00 for non-members. (Price includes travel and fair entrance.)

• Cash or checks made payable to “MMFCU” may be turned in the morning of departure to credit union staff.

We will not be stopping, so feel free to bring a snack for the way. Once we arrive at the fair you are free to explore on your own! Space is limited (165 total seats). Reserve a spot today by calling (218) 829-0371 or your local branch.

MMFCU offers EMV Debit Cards

Europay, MasterCard and VISA – or EMV – provides advanced technology that embeds a microchip in cards for an added layer of security. This new and enhanced global standard for payment processing will benefit members with additional security of account information when chip and PIN technology is used for purchases and transactions. EMV Chip and PIN cards are now the preferred method of payment worldwide and provide additional security against fraud.

All new and replacement VISA Debit cards from MMFCU will now include EMV Chip technology. Once received, members will be able to change or choose their PIN number when they activate their new card. Upon receipt, members will also receive an insert explaining how to use the new card at retail terminals.

We are proud to offer this enhanced security option for our members and welcome any and all questions. A “Frequently Asked Questions” area is also located on our VISA website page at mmfcu.org/lending/visa-cards.

INGREDIENTS– Ice – 2 ounces coconut water – 1 ounce fresh lime juice – 3/4 ounce pineapple gum syrup

(thickened pineapple-flavored Simple Syrup) – 1/4 ounce Orgeat (almond-flavored syrup) – 1 mint sprig, smacked, for garnish

DIRECTIONS– Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all

of the remaining ingredients except the garnish. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Garnish with the mint.
