As part of waterconservation and management project in 2011, the District completed the automation andremote operation of its 64.95 mile long canal, increasing the ability for the District to conservemore water. By monitoring and regulating the tail water leaving the District irrigated lands andautomating the main canal will conserve roughly 8% of the total water diverted.

As part of waterconservation and management project in 2011, the District completed the automation andremote operation of its 64.95 mile long canal, increasing the ability for the District to conservemore water. By monitoring and regulating the tail water leaving the Districts irrigated landsand automating the main canal will conserve roughly 8% of the total water diverted.
