PACIFIC ALLIANCE INTEROPERABILITY PLATFORM (IOP)

Pacific Alliance adopted a distributed model to develop the IOP wherein the IOP components are installed in each of the 4 countriesrsquo Single Window environments

bull All the 4 Single Window Platforms communicate with each other using the IOP The messages sent across the borders are encrypted using the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) including Digital Signature and the messages are designed using industry best practicesstandards

bull Once completed the platform will have capability to sendreceive Phytosanitary Certificates and Certificates of Origin among the 4 Pacific Alliance countries

bull The platform is also scalable to include new types of certificates and other countries can participate in the information exchange in the future

Pacific Alliance adopted a distributed model to develop the IOP wherein the IOP components are installed in each of the 4 countriesrsquo Single Window environments

bull All the 4 Single Window Platforms communicate with each other using the IOP The messages sent across the borders are encrypted using the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) including Digital Signature and the messages are designed using industry best practicesstandards

bull Once completed the platform will have capability to sendreceive Phytosanitary Certificates and Certificates of Origin among the 4 Pacific Alliance countries

bull The platform is also scalable to include new types of certificates and other countries can participate in the information exchange in the future
