Our Mission and Vision:

Our mission is that each and every person has got social responsibility and especially those persons who had an opportunity to get better education and living conditions, they should extend a helping hand to those less fortunate people who are very much below in the society and show light to their lives so that these less fortunate children can also get an opportunity to lead a happy and peaceful life and thus bring down the social imbalance which is the root cause for the current day turmoil in the society. If these children are shown light they too can lead a decent living and become good citizens.

These objectives can be achieved only if educated and elite people take the responsibility and lead the path for these abandoned children of the society.

With this objective in view, Sudar Academic & Charitable trust was started. Our mission and vision is to educate physically challenged children to prove others that they are all like common people, they have all abilities and talents like normal people and bring down the social imbalance in the society which ultimately bring in peace in the society.

There is a purpose behind every person's birth. One should utilize his/her knowledge and efforts not only for his/her own growth but also contribute a little for the growth of the deprived ones, by which way one can give real meaning to their birth. History :

Sudar Academic & Charitable trust was started on January 04, 2001 with 4 physically challenged children and the trust was registered on March 09, 2011. Now there are 20 physically challenged students in the age of 7-30 from the surrounding villages studying in our trust. We provide education, hand writing, speech therapy, walking therapy and also job oriented practices to the students depending to their abilities. The education and the food provided to the students are free of cost. The expense for running the school managed by the donations provided by the friends and good hearted people.

Facilities provided for our Students:

Education: We have qualified teachers to teach the students Tamil, English, Mathematics and General Knowledge in easiest way.

Transport: We pick the students from their home by the vehicle every day.

Food: Every day11:00am - Health mix/ Milk with honey/ Juice

according to the time table.

Uniform: We provide uniform to each and every student to indicate that they are equal. They are looking more confidence while they are wearing the uniforms. We also provide Identity Card to them.

Physiotherapy: We have a Physiotherapist who provides physical exercises needed for each student in the easiest way. Yoga and Meditation practice is also provided.

Games: We provide games like carom, Chess and throw ball for them. It refreshes their mind and body.

Industrial Talent: We are not just providing the general education, but also providing some extracurricular activities like drawing, singing and music to find out their talents. We are also providing the students’ job oriented practices.

09:30AM – 10:00AM:

Every morning students assemble in the prayer hall for Prayer, Kural for the day, Proverb, Current News and General Knowledge.

After the prayer all the students are thought Tamil which is their mother tongue by qualified teacher Miss. D. Dhanalakshmi M.A.

Snacks Break10:45AM – 11:00AM:

During the break we provide health mix or milk or juice to them according to the time table every day. In the presence of fund we provide the nuts and other healthy food occasionally.

Physiotherapy Class11:00AM – 11:45AM:

We provide physical exercise to all the students depending upon their needs. We also give yoga and Meditation practices to all the students.

Bi-monthly we arrange for a free medical checkup for all the students to have a proper record of improvement of their health condition.

Games and entertainment classes are conducted at the end of the day. We teach them to play carom, chess and throw ball. Along with education we show entertainment programs by the television. Television is used to get current affairs, important news and Sports news to them.

Free Transportation

Our students are special students. So they couldn’t able to come to school or go to home without somebody’s help. Most of their parents are daily wage workers, so they couldn’t afford to send their children to school.

To overcome this difficulty, we have arranged an auto for rent to take those children from home to school and school to home. Our school staffs help them to get into the auto and out from the auto with kindness and affectionate.

1. ABIMANYU .D:He is 12 years old. He is mentally retarded along with

dumb & physically challenged child. We give him practices like, speech and walking therapy.

Result: Now he is able to do all his work by himself.

2. UDHAYAKUMAR. G:He is 27 years old. He is physically challenged and has

suffered from polio attack. We support him to learn and write. Result: As a result of this, he is ready to appear for the

government public exam.

3. MANIKANDAN. A:He is 18 years old. He is deaf & dumb and physically

challenged by birth. We teach him sign language to understand and communicate with other.

Result: By means of our training he is able to understand and communicate with others and he is able to do some works.

4. YOGARAJ. G:

He is 32 years old. He is deaf & dumb by birth, physically challenged and mentally retarded. We teach him sign language to understand and communicate with other.

Result: By means of our training he is able to understand and communicate with others and he is able to do some works.

5. VINOTH. R:He is 18 years old. He is mentally retarded, deaf & dumb

and physically challenged. We provide him speech therapy and physiotherapy exercises.

Result: As a result of our hard work, now he is able to speak slightly and move with the help of walking stick now.

6. PRIYA. D:She is 6 years old. She doesn’t have any movement in

her body. We provide her physiotherapy exercises. Result: As a result of it now she is able to sit and speak

little by the help of exercises.

7. AYYAPPAN. K:He is 13 years old. He is deaf and dumb and physically

challenged. He has no ability to study. Result: Now he can study and he is the first student in his

class.

8. MANIKANDAN. K:He is 12 years old. He is mentally retarded by birth. Result: Now he can able to speak quite clearly.

9. MARIMUTHU. A:He is 13 years old. He is mentally retarded child. Result: But now he can read and help others.

10. RAJASEKAR. G:He is 6 years old. He is mentally retarded and used to hurt

others. Result: As a result of the meditation he is very kind to others

& he can able to read write. Now he starts to speak slightly.

11. CHITTRARASU. S:

He is 6 years old. He is physically challenged, mentally retarded and deaf & dumb.

Result: Now he can able to move and able to speak clearly by mean of our Sudar Special school.

12. VASANTHAKUMAR. S:He is 12 years old. He is physically challenged, deaf &

dumb with the help of our daily speech therapy. Result: Now he can able to understand and response

others.

13. HARINI. V:She is 12 years old. She is physically challenged, deaf &

dumb by birth. Result: But now she studies well, improves her talent &

she can able to move without others help.

14. KALPANA. G:She is 18 years old. She is mentally retarded and deaf &

dumb child. Result: But now she can understand what others said

and she can do some work by our regular exercises.

15. BABY. G:She is 22 years old. She is mentally retarded person. She

has fits problem. Result: We give some exercise to avoid the fits problem.

She is well versed including mental sum.

16. KOUSALYA. M:She is 16 years old. She is deaf & dumb child. We

provided her hearing aid machine to overcome the deaf problem.

Result: By the use of this machine she tries to speak clearly.

17. JAYABHARATHI. T:She is 18 years old. She doesn’t speak clearly. Result: Now she can write & speak clearly and helps

others.

18. RAJAGURU. K:He is 32 years old. He is physically challenged by birth.

He didn’t come out from his home because of his shyness. We provide education and job oriented practices

Result: Now he does some handicrafts with the help of tri-cycle.

19. AJAY KUMAR. K:He is 6 years old. He is mentally retarded, dumb pers. Result: Because of our exercise he can able to

understand and he can spell some words.

20. SANKAR. C:He is a blind person. He has completed M.A., B.Ed.; he is

working in our school as a motivating factor for all the other children’s.

We have run our special school for more than 10 years successfully, now we have more than 30 students in our trust. We have seen lot of improvements & confidence in their health & mind among the students from the beginning of the classes. We teach them to improve their skills, helping tendency, some job oriented training and job opportunities.

Apart from education, we are also providing knowledge about news, general knowledge, computer and games. So they can feel free in conversations with other people (Normal Students). As a result of this they felt that they were also a normal human in this world and they have a right to live in this world as all. These are all the activities we have done till the last month of the past academic year.

Student, who can able to sit before can able to move now, students who can able to move before, can try to walk now. We are trying to make, them physically and mentally a complete human being. We have prepared one student to attend the public exam.

Apart from these students, there are more students in our area. We are planning to take in more students and help them in improving their skills and their confident level with kindness and politeness.
