Pre Survey Concerns – 1Interaction with instructor & fellow students

• not understanding a part of a lecture online (i wouldn't be able to ask theinstructor a direct question)

• Being able to ask the professor questions while watching the prerecordedlecture is not the easiest, but if email is accessible, it isn't too difficult.

• I don't feel a connection with my professor.

• I am worried that connections with other student in the class will belimited due to the fact that physical interaction will only exist half thetime.

• I will not pay attention in class because I can watch the lectures online

• There is less opportunity to ask questions without waiting for an email

Pre Survey Concerns – 2Students completely against online education:

•Yes, I am concerned that this is the direction education is going in, andI don't like it. I think there is something to be said about social contact with peers, and using a pen and paper/handwriting. I think that weneed to hold on to as much personal/physical contact as possible, asFacebook/dating sites/online jobs have already taken a lot of it over.

•If I had wanted an online education I would have attended theUniversity of Phoenix.

•Seems to be a poor fix for an over-enrolled class.

•It disgusts me. I don't pay 30k/yr out of state to watch videos online.

Flexibility = Learning at my ownpace

• I was able to do my work on my own timein a way that best suited my learningstyle. I could just read the book and do

the assignments. If I was confused abouta certain concept or example problem Icould go back and watch the lecture atany time. I could attend class if I was in

the mood, or I could sleep. This class wasvery nicely organized.

Additional Comments - 1• I am the type of person to always attend class, as it is

how I learn the best. However, one day I was sick and hadto watch the lecture online. I realized that I was able toget more out of watching the lecture online because I wasable to pause it when need so I could take notes.

• I learn better online when I can be in a quiet room, not ina crowded lecture hall. I prefer watching the lectures inmy room where I can focus instead of in a room full of  people who won't stop talking.

• recorded lectures... you can watch them at any time, re-watch them if necessary, and pause them to take better notes.

• It really helped me learn in my own time

• I could control the speed of the class

• being able to miss a class if I was studying for another exam but still get 

the information

• The videos online provide everything a student would receive if they were present in the actual class. You can also watch the lectures that youattend to reinforce your understanding of the information.
