Inspired by the work of the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI), the CalgaryHealthcare Improvement Network (CHIN) was launched to build awareness of the field ofhealth care safety and quality improvement (QI), as well as to implement changes from aninterdisciplinary point of view at all levels of care.
IHI Education OpportunitiesQuality, Cost, and Value (QCV) 100: An Introduction toQuality, Cost, and Value in Health Care. One of the freeonline courses offered by the IHI Open School, QCV 100 is writtenpredominantly by students, discerning the difference between cost,value, and how both heavily influence healthcare quality.
