NRA INTERCOLLEGIATE PISTOL CHAMPIONSHIPS
MATCH PROGRAM
DATE
March 22-27, 2015
LOCATION
Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia
ELIGIBILITY
NRA Rule 2.8 applies in that Intercollegiate Sectional matches are open to individuals
and teams whose members represent any one college, junior college or university, provided
each member is eligible for participation in intercollegiate competition under the rules of the
institution. For purposes of NRA Intercollegiate Sectionals/Nationals ONLY: a collegian may
compete for a maximum of four years during their undergraduate career. Collegians must be
full-time during the semesters in which they compete. If a collegian goes to graduate school
directly after graduation from undergraduate school, and has one, or more, year(s) of eligibility
left, the graduate student may compete (and complete their four years of eligibility) in their first
year of graduate school. No student may compete in the Intercollegiate Sectional Program for
more than four separate calendar years.
INVITATIONS
Open Events
The top ten ranking teams and the top thirty ranking individuals in each event in the
2015 NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Sectionals are invited to compete in the 2015 NRA
Intercollegiate Pistol Championships. The top teams in ROTC Standard Pistol will also be
invited. Only one team per institution per event may qualify to compete. Once the top 10
institutions are selected the same team members who fired in the sectional do not have to
compete on the team in the Championships. Any shooter from that school, who fired in an
Intercollegiate Pistol Sectional, may fire as a team member at the Championships. Team
alternates must be listed prior to competition on Monday, March 10 at 5:00 pm (Rule 12.4).
Only those shooters who are invited as the top 30 individuals in each event may compete for
individual title and only in the event for which they were selected. If selected teams or
individuals are unable to attend, invitations will be passed down until all slots are filled.
Teams and individuals not representing the USA may qualify for invitation if/when they
have scores within the top ten. These individuals are ineligible for the National Awards;
however, they will compete for “High Visitor” awards.
Teams qualifying in two of the three team events may participate in all three team
events in order to compete for national aggregate championship awards only.
−−−−5−−−−
Women's Events
The top 20 ranking women who fired in the 2015 NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Sectionals
air pistol event are invited to compete for the title of Women's Collegiate Air Pistol National
Champion. The top 20 ranking women who fired in the 2015 NRA Intercollegiate Pistol
Sectionals women's sport pistol event are invited to compete for the title of Women's
Collegiate Sport Pistol National Champion. The top five teams in Women's Air Pistol and
Women's Sport Pistol will be invited to the Championships.
Men’s Events
The top 15 ranking men who fired in the 2015 NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Sectionals
men’s 40 shot air pistol event are invited to compete for the title of Men’s Collegiate 40 Shot
Air Pistol National Champion. The top 15 ranking men who fired in the 2015 NRA
Intercollegiate Sectionals men’s sport pistol event are invited to compete for the title of Men’s
Collegiate Sport Pistol National Champion. More men will be invited to take the line if there is
enough interest and space allows.
