MASK
(Handling of charcoal medium)
The teacher makes the students
understand the importance of texture and
shows the students how to enhance their
work with texture. Rough texture may
allow more charcoal to adhere to the
paper. Blending is done to create smooth
transitions between darker and lighter
areas of a drawing.
Erasing is often performed with a
kneaded rubber eraser. This is malleable
rubber that is often claimed to be self –
cleaning.
The students will use texture wherever
necessary.
