...about Kiwanna Tolbert Fashionista, Fashion Stylist, and Boutique Owner are just a few titles that Kiwanna Tolbert holds. She is known to many of her customers as hard working and an outgoing businesswoman with a fashion intuition her clients can trust. Kiwanna has worked hard throughout her teenage years, working in retail store chains all the way up to management. It was her love of fashion and her ability to make her customers happy that led her to future promotions in management.
Kiwanna left the retail industry to pursue a career in the medical field to support her family, but her love of fashion was her passion. She continued to study fashion, and kept up with the latest fashion designs and trends known within the industry. Working in the medical field allowed her to continue to do what she loved the most, helping people. Kiwanna’s passion for fashion provided her the opportunity to remain invested in making others happy, and ultimately leading to the creation of STY’LIN Boutique, founded in 2005. She first started her business as a traveling boutique to assist in building her clientele in the DC/Maryland/ Virginia area (DMV). To build her clientele she participated in several vending events at churches, in the National Mall, and Big Tigger’s’ Ride for Life just to name a few. Finally, she was able to create the boutique that she
always dreamed of in Temple Hills, MD.
Kiwanna believes that people need high fashion at affordable prices that’s why the company slogan is “Because All Women Should Be.” Her savvy talent is her ability to be up close and personal with her core clientele. She always has her clients best interest in mind and ensures that they look their absolute best.
Being a boutique owner, Kiwanna always has her finger on the pulse and knows what’s hot. In her shop she takes her shopping experience to a whole new level by helping customers complete the whole look. Laura Foos, 1 of 4 owners of Salon Couture and winner of The Steve Harvey Hoodie Award in Forestville, MD stated, “From the moment I walked into Sty'lin and meet Kiki I felt so welcome and so comfortable. Â She is always friendly and gives the best advice as to what to put together, what accessories to add, or even how to use pieces I already have. When I have any function coming up I just stop by to see her because I know Kiki will have a one of a kind piece to make me stand out in the crowd. I even had to start carrying her cards with me as I get asked so often "where did you get that from? I love Sty’lin and love Kiki cause I always want to be Sty’lin!” Moments like that helped Kiwanna to become the stylist she is today.
