Rural and Indigenous Health Streams
• A Rural Health Stream provides 18-20 students with a year-long, integrated Year 3 placement in general practices and associated hospitals in rural towns - Goulburn, Young, Batemans Bay, Moruya, Cooma, Bega
• The Indigenous Health Stream provides opportunity for students to undertake a range of placements in Indigenous healthcare settings, including six week placement in the Northern Territory
Phase 1PBL curriculum supplemented with lectures, practical's and tutorials exploring the social, ethical, legal and scientific foundations of health and medicine. Introduction to clinical methods.
Phase 2Experiential learning as part of a clinical team supplemented by a structured clinical teaching curriculum.

An integrated curriculum addressing four themes...
Medical Sciences- the scientific basis of medicine;
Clinical Skills- communication, patient examination, diagnosis, appraisal of research evidence;
Population Health - relationship between humans, their society and environment; and
Professionalism & Leadership- the doctor as a professional, medical human rights, health law, and ethics.
Contextual frameworks are interwoven in the above themes to provide graduates with working knowledge of social foundations of medicine, Indigenous health, rural and remote Australian health, and research.

in an Australian medical school, for which recipients are required to undertake return of service obligation equivalent to 3 years over an 18 year period.

• All interviews will be conducted online
• The ANU Interview will occur in two partsPart 1 = A scheduled online interview with recorded responses to a series of interview prompts.Part 2 = A 30 minute panel interview using the Zoom Platform (this will also be recorded).
